I have a friend who got his hand smashed flat in a bean cracking roll on night shift with no one else there.

Stuck there, he put his foot on the roll & pulled his hand off to save his life & the life of his partner who had his whole arm stuck in there.

Drove him & his partner to the hospital. Woke up 2 days later & called his boss.

Boss says: "Hell, Osbourne...I fired you for not showing up!!!"

It's amazing what one can do when given no other choice.

He has a sense of humour about it. He tells me: "Well Dave, at least my nubby little hand can reach up & get that last top bolt in the top of a Chevy bell-housing easier"

Lose yr arm or burn, this guy had the strength to make a tough choice. Yep, he's tough alright.

You bet your a$$ I am. Not just all of the physical pain Ive endured, but the psychogical tests that lasted for years....so absolutely.

I'm not sure if this story is about the guy mentioned in your post but I just heard a short commercial for The Today Show about a similar story that is due to air this morning.

Yup, just heard the intro to The Today Show and the story to be aired is about the same guy as in your article, Sampson Parker.
