Title: hoppy thanksgiving Post by kcopelin on Nov 24th, 2007, 12:27pm So, our first Thanksgiving in our new home ;;D....a couple of friends coming over, turkey in the oven, green bean casserole and sweet potatoes ready to go in once the turkey came out...everything ready. I go out to my studio to retreive Joseph (part of the nativity scene-and he's not painted yet. Step out of the studio, twist foot and down I go. :P Right foot is broken in three places, :-/can't drive, am a clutz with crutches >:(....and today is the day they guys are supposed to go away and let me decorate for Christmas..... Thay are not gone...instead we have sewage in the tub, my husband and his friend running gardenhose down the vent to clear the air pockets my son begging to get on the roof, my dog trying to keep the weird looking foot wet by licking it.... Not my plan for a good time. Now hubby tells me the pipes need to be replaced...covered by home warranty..NOT Foot still broken-tree up and decorated in spite of it....Kathy is hurting, unhappy and desperately looking for the humor in all this. Hoping y'all had a way cooler Thanksgiving than this. LYG kathy |

Title: Re: hoppy thanksgiving Post by kcopelin on Nov 24th, 2007, 12:38pm OMG Jonny, I hadn't looked yet....that would indeed be a marvelous addition to the mad house (Chewy in the closet) [smiley=laugh.gif] Have found that crutches can be used to scoot stuff around, sewage is now drained from tub and hubby promises the bathroom is sanitary.... he just brought Joe in for me to finish the painting. Title: Re: hoppy thanksgiving Post by Kevin_M on Nov 24th, 2007, 12:55pm Aw Kath, sorry to hear. Happy Thanksgiving to you. :) A new house, new areas to walk and get used to, you won't forget that spot. I was just heating up turkey and stuffing and other side leftovers. And, checked my policy. Not covered for sewers and drains either. $75.00 more a year for $10,000 coverage with a $1000.00 deductible. I think I cancelled that after replacing all the way out to the street about 15 years ago. |

Title: Re: hoppy thanksgiving Post by kcopelin on Nov 24th, 2007, 9:18pm No sign of Chewy. Mood is improving, but my armpits are getting pretty sore from the crutches. Sounds like many of y'all had a great Thanksgiving and I am happy for y'all. Others braved the stores Friday. Lo siento. Wii is sold out all over Redding, and it appears e-bay and bout the only option. they're going for $500. Oddly enough, they were on sale two weeks ago at a local store for $249. Dang it!!!! Adjust the height of the handles for your hands up a little bit, it'll be less weight supported under your arms, more on your arms, wrists, and hands. |
