You got it. Came in on one engine and leaking fuel.

At least we didn't have to sit around for an hour waiting for a gate to clear.

We got a special gate. For special people on defective planes with 36 free sattelite TV stations for our flying pleasure.

They're designed to fly and land on one engine if they have to, but that's a hell of sweat.

Some people don't want to get back on another plane very soon again.

Years ago I remember an an Eastern airlines jet dropped from 32,000 straight down once until the pilot got the engines started again at 12,000 ft., leveling off below 10,000. Free open bar all around for the ride home.

Now I know what it was in 1966 when my TWA had to land in Denver. They told us that they "had to shut down" an engine. Lots of gin served at the time.

You DID put your tray in the upright position didn't you? (That's really important).
