Title: anyone need a laugh?

We have a lot of temp help at the Public Defender's Office, clerical.

Today's temp is also trained in medical.  I asked if she if she had ever heard of cluster headaches.  She said, "Yes, they come in clusters and you put the person in a quiet dark room for 10 minutes and they are ok."

I just said, "Oh, God, no."

[smiley=nono.gif]  Somehow, that just doesn't strike me as funny.

now if you had said, "and then I went to my GP's office for a check up and he said the exact same thing."

now that would be really funny.

So a mushroom walks into a bar and orders a beer.
Bartender says, "We don't serve your kind here"
Mushroom replies, "Why not? I'm a fungi."

Fungi=fun guy.  Get it?

Oh well, this writers strike is killing me.

Charlotte,

that is not funny for me either... but it's exactly why I'm sending 2 Letters to the Editor soon. Two health magazines have spread little ch info in their latest numbers, but unfourtunately, both have their content wrong. I plan to thank the editors for including ch in the first place and then correct their errors.

According to these magazines, it's impossible to have ch if you're under 30, the treatment is same as migraines for all CHers and my fave part "sometimes you don't even need any treatment to get rid of it. Massage is enough". ::) :-X :-[ I wish! I mean, where do they get this stuff?!

Both magazines mention that they have interviewed a neurologist for the article. Makes me seriously wonder how our neuros are trained if that's what they'll tell to journalists! Oxygen was not mentioned at all, which was surprising - especially when even the official ch treatment guidelines in this country include it. There's lot to be done in here as well...

One time I went to the dentist.

I was sitting in the chair when he grabs the needle and says "Open wide, now you might feel a little prick"

I said "Geeze doc. can't you just bill me instead?" ;;D

I thought the hygienist was going to piss herself laughing.

And while you're adding who can't get CH add women under 30. I had a nuerologist on weekend rounds at Jefferson insist Lisa was misdiagnosed then Lisa had a hit in front of him and he told me sorry, guess you're right, she does have CH. His specialty was epilepsy. He wasn't her usual doctor.

While I wasn't suffering from CH at the time.....when I mentioned that I once had CH; he said:  "They can be very painful." http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/clobber.gif
