Title: Postcards from Tim
Post by LeLimey on Nov 8th, 2007, 5:22pm
.. arrived for my three kids today (Thank you Tim, they loved them!)

Brid was reading hers out loud and read it as this

"Hi Brid, We haven't met yet but I'm afraid of your mother"

She said "Well he isn't daft is he?"

(It actually said I'm a friend of your mother!!)

What I want to know is - what does she MEAN?!!  ;)

Your girl sounds wise beyond her years with a quip like that!!!

Very sweet!

Those genuine misinterpretations are the stuff of life around our house.  I love it when that happens.

Meghan now 26, then 5 comes home from Kindergarten:

Meghann: "Mr's Reily calls her toes corns!"
Andrea:    "Really, why is that?"
Meghann: "I don't know but when I stepped on her foot today she said, "Oh my corns""

I should write a book with all the gems we've collected over the years.

Now the fact that she instantly assumes that all men are smart to be afraid of you ... well lets just say that you've doomed a whole new generation of suitors to the Williams family females.  ;;D

She came out with a cracker not so long ago.

We were talking about heads of state and Tony Blair was mentioned. I said nope, he's not the prime minister any more so Barney asked who our new prime minister was to which Brid promptly replied "George Bush".

Well she got the initials right at least!!  ;;D

I wish I'd kept lists of the lunacies my kids have come out with - there have been some real gems!

Hmm... I still hear people quoting me. It's bit embarrassing to hear all kind of things I've said when I was 5 and have absolutely no recollection of mentioning any of those things. ;;D

I actually feel nearly sorry that I'm not invited to my cousin's wedding (it's parents & siblings only occasion), because her mother is my funniest aunt and will probably mention many "funny" stories my cousin has said over the years... ;;D

Well, there's a chance I'll have kids of my own to humiliate one day... ;)

Only reason I had kids was to take the heat off of me!  ;;D

LOL
Kids do keep us entertained, huh?

My 8 year old granddaughter, Sara recently told her Mom that she was joining the "radiation club" at school.
"Radiation club? What's that?" asked mom.
"Oh, mommy, you know... when kids get in a fight in the playground, the radiators go and help radiate them so they don't fight."

LOL, it's the mediation club

When I was a teenager, I took part in something called Duke of Edinburgh - it involves doing community service and learning about the outdoors.

I was packing up my rucksack for a 4 day hike in the mountains and I put my roll of toilet paper (inside a ziplock bag) into my rucksack.

My sis: 'What are you going to do with that?'
Me: 'What do you think? Don't worry, I have to bury it afterwards.'
My sis: 'Won't it get dirty?'
