Title: Tell me what you see.
Post by deltadarlin on Nov 6th, 2007, 7:43pm
There is something in this picture that fits, but doesn't.  Ike showed it to me and I *see* what he's talking about.  Do you?

Well, DD, I see things in pics all the time that are only in my imagination. That said....

The small stone on the right has two eyeballs, the stone in the back right has a ghost cat on top, staring right at us with his tail in the air, and just behind the stone in back to the right of the tree, I see two faces, one has a body, too.

How's that for nuts :)

Can't wait to hear what you really meant :)

I can't see well the date of birth in the first stone but looks like 1600? and died in 1922?.

There is a ghost in top of the last stone at the back right side.

Look closely at the dates on the foreground tombstone.

Birth Dec, 6th 1640

Death was Nov 4th 1922

Makes this person 282 years old at the time of death.

Did I win? What do I get?

edit to add.

It's also the only stone that isn't covered in the front with moss.

Must be the face by the wall on the right side of the tree.

Cool.

Best,

George

The stone rite next to the tree. Why would they have or how could they have dug a grave so close to a tree?

Actually the date on the tombstone in the foreground is 1840 (I blew it up in photoshop and could read the date a bit better).

Geroge wins the prize!

Ike,
I don't think it's a *witch*.  If you look close enough, it's a lady with a black bonnet on, dressed in a black dress.

Now I need to go back there and examine the stone wall.

I've seen this picture prior to this...and I immediately saw a woman's face, black hat...pointy features...and looks as if she's holding her hand to her face...

She does look "witchy"

?  Where did you see this picture before now?

It's interesting the way our vision works...

We have a tendency to see "faces" in all sorts of random patterns.  Take a look at a textured wall or ceiling sometime--if you look long and hard enough, sooner or later, one or more "faces" will pop out at you.  If there's a pattern that accidentally shows "eyes" "nose" "mouth", our brain assembles it into a human face.

It's pretty cool, really, and I don't think we can "shut it off", either.  It just happens.

Of course, it could actually be a creepy old dead woman hanging out on a wall, too.   ;)

Neat photograph.

Best wishes,

George

The tree has grown since the headstone was placed.

ok...Im confused.   I posted on another thread with this title...and now my response is gone...

Delta...I apologize for  not being more literal.  I viewed the picture earlier with Ike and Tam...prior to this thread.

Same picture...sorry about that.

George,

I agree with that..."if you stare long enough"...

But my eyes went directly to that...whatever it is....immediately.  I cannot explain it what it is...but I saw it...and wasn't looking for it, nor concentrating.

Interesting to see...in a picture...if I saw it while at the cementary, I would've freaked out.
