I just found out today that my gran has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She has already had 1/2 a lung removed due to illness over 10 years ago, but this means that they can't operate or give her radiation therapy as it will destroy what good is left in her lungs.

To top it off, she has to have a stent fitted tomorrow and they won't start chemo until they know she is going to get through that first. She is scared that she isn't going to come home from that to even be given the opportunity to fight the cancer.

You guys are so good at this, so please send some positive thoughts to my gran, who is on the other side of the pond in Canada (making this very hard to deal with as I can't even give her a hug).
