My best friend OD on his medication. I found him next to his bed convulsing! I gave him CPR and called an ambulance. He is in hospital now on a respirator and dialysis. The dose he took is potentially fatal. He is the best friend I have got. His name is Danny Amy. Please send him any prayers and vibes that you can afford. Thanks.

No, its not my husband, but he is my best friend still. I received a message from him on my mobile and it sounded like a goodbye message so I got worried and drove to his place.

He has epilepsy and he is on tegretol for it. He took 50 tablets of the 400 mg which is a potentially fatal dose. Lucky I found him in time.

I rang the hospital this morning and they said he is stable but not out of danger. The Tegretol level has gone from 270 to 190 but it its still too high.

Thank you very much for all your prayers and vibes. Please keep them coming.

I take anti-convulsants too but never Tegretol. My doctor says it ain't necessarily an easy thing to handle

Thank you all for your prayers and vibes.

I am further shocked at the callouness of some people.

I rang his now ex girlfriend, she walked out on him about 2 months ago, and she just didnt want to know about it. I think it was her leaving that was the last straw and led to this and she just didnt care.

I rang his parents and they told me they would come up to see him when he is awake ! Bloody hell, dont they get it ? There is a chance that he might never wake up !

What is it with people these days? Its so hard to find people who truly care ... So sad !

I am so lucky to have this family here who care deeply. Thank you so much for the prayers and vibes. I pray to God that he will pull through. He is only 28 !

Thank you everyone for your prayers and vibes, please keep them coming, he is not out of danger yet. To get an idea of how bad the situation is, the therapeutic level of tegretol is 40 and the max level tolerable is 80 and his level was 270 at admission. He is now on dialysis as his urine output was really low. He is still in a deep coma and on the respirator. I am going to visit him again later today.

His dad sent me $1000 so that I could take care of him! ::) I told him I dont need the money, I will take care of him no matter what but I believe his parents should come ( they live in another state ).

Thank you very much everyone for sending your prayers and vibes. They have worked !

Danny's level dropped down to 39 last night and he is finally out of the danger zone. He has started to wake up himself out of the coma, he opened his eyes and tried to pull the tubes out ! They are going to try to extubate him today. His urine output is increasing and they will be able to cease dialysis soon. Looks like his kidneys are safe too.

I strongly believe in the power of prayers that this family can pull together. I was told that his level of 270 is the highest level ever recorded in Australia and the doctors were amazed that he pulled through. He was not expected to survive this.

I am sure that without the collective power of love and care and prayers here, he would not have made it.
