I really need to know from the chicks here what they think of this, because to me this is just not right in so many ways!

Maybe its just me and there is something im missing, but its fucked up!

Well, I believe kids should be breast fed up to 1 year old. They have most of their milk teeth then and God gives them teeth for some reasons : to learn to chew proper food !

I am interested to know if the parents would still do that if they had 2 boys instead of 2 girls. What would the father think and feel when he sees his 10-15 years old son laying on the couch sucking on a breast ? ::)

What concerns me is not so much the breast feeding but the fact that they depend so much on the mothers breasts for comfort. What would happen to those 2 girls if something bad suddenly happen to the mother? The mother is trying to shield them completely away from the " real bad world" which is the wrong thing to do.

Imagine if mother drops dead tomorrow, those 2 girls will be traumatised beyond belief and will possibly be scarred for life psychologically. How and where will they be able to find a couple of breasts to comfort them ?

They obviously dont need the breast milk. They are only using the breasts for emotional comfort. Instead of teaching them skills to cope with normal life stresses, the mother is keeping them in babies mode. To me thats cruel and irresponsible!

If you love your children, you make sure they grow up healthy and become well adjusted, that they have the ability to survive and overcome any challenges that will no doubt come into their lives. Children who are totally dependant on the parents will not be well adjusted to anything!

Edited to add : Yes Jonny, a woman can produce breastmilk as long as someone is sucking on her breasts daily, and yes that can go on for years, decades in fact !

NOTE : Guys, do not test this on your wives ! ::) :P ;;D

I didn't breastfeed my oldest because of the meds I was on at the time, but I did my youngest. I weaned him at 15 months. I know that in other countries they do nurse until the child is 2 or 3, but those tend to be more underdeveloped countries. I nursed my youngest full time until a year and then worked on weaning him. When he got to the point the he only wanted to nurse after I got home from work at night, I let that continue for a month and then weaned him from that. That was not for nutrition on his part, just as a comfort thing. I replaced that with lots of cuddling and loving, only no boobies involved. I think this lady has gone overboard. Even good things must come to an end. And yes, as long as the demand is there, the supply will be there.

Well, having a little experience with this (back many moons ago) of course I have have a theory on it (so what else is new)..... I did the breast feeding thingy, but when the first little toothie started coming thru - my boobies came out of the equation real QUICK and we discovered that a bottle worked real well....

Cuddling is GOOD!

That woman needs HELP!!!

I had a student in kindergarten. Mom used to come at lunch time and nurse him during lunch!! We just had to sit back and allow it. Too much of a good thing kind of negates the whole concept!!

I totally agree with that statement.

Hannah was nursed for a year, Harry for 8 months, but he had 8 teeth at 6 months and thought chompin' down on Mom hard was fun! Plus, he was hungry all the time and I had to put him on baby foods just to get enough in him.

And yep, they will keep producing.

I did not breastfeed my kids nor will I with Ava due to personal reasons. And I can tell you my reaction to seeing that video is I had to close the window because tears came to my eyes. Something is VERY wrong with that picture and I'm sorry, I'd need to hurt that woman if I ever saw her. >:(

I'm sorry, is it just me or does it feel like abuse here??

(FYI, my personal reasons have a LOT to do with what happened to me when I was a young girl)

Now, there is a forum that I go and read (I'm bored sometimes and these people fascinate me) where *child-led* weaning is the norm and breast-feeding can and does exist well past toddlerhood. Quite a few of these people on this particular forum also believe in co-sleeping (some indefinitely) and no punishment of any kind~ever.

Nothin that aint been already said, but man !!! She is damaging those 2 little girls.

That type of activity is really bad for their development into self-sufficient women.

Now that it is public knowledge, just think how those girls will get teased later in school.

I nursed my daughter or 18 months. I planned to do it until she was 2 but she started bitting me and that hurts like hell so she went from breast to sippy cups.

I think breastfeeding should be done until the child gets his nourishment from others food and he is able to chomp those foods which is by the time he has some teeth...
my God going that far is nothing but abuse to those girls...she is not breastfeeding them because they need the nourishment but for personal "pleasure" matters, what I find totally disgusting >:(

OK Lisa figured it out. When you breastfeed your breasts are larger! Maybe she is just trying to have large breasts!!!????? I am still amazed that one can justify this and the child abuse advocates aren't in there. Even the most hard core women I've met are done by 5 (other than my student)

That video bothered me all day, that whole thing is wrong. The whole thing with the kids drawing the titts in crayon tells me that serious issues are already present.

I have no authority on the subject. Yes, I'm a women. But, I was not breast feed and I am not a mother. However, as a normal healthy adult - THAT IS JUST WRONG!!

I've had 7 children. This, however is abominable.

It seems to me that I read a few years back that some woman was arrested for "indecent exposure" because she was breast-feeding her INFANT...(.covered up with a blanket) in a public place like a airport terminal or bus terminal or something. That wasn't o.k. but this IS????????

I hope the authorities take these kids and get them some help. How sad...

I'm horrified - this is revolting beyond belief. And yes - I think this is child abuse too. To me she is trying to remain too mportant in the kids lives - in a "needy way" but she is the one thats needy. Ugh

yup that mummy needs a breast reduction... I think sometimes the Moms are more attatched to the idea than the children. I am grossed out by that one...
