18 years ago today, I started working for "bossman".

Bossman is 72 years old now, and I am 61 (62 in May). We have had our ups and down, arguments - Oh God - we don't want to go there. Then, we've had bossman's health issues - we don't wanna go there either. My issues - maybe we do wanna go here, but that's another thread.

Anyway, after 18 years, I still have only 2 weeks paid vacation, no health insurance, no life insurance, no benefits. But....BUT...I do have profit sharing which puts in 20% of my annual pay, and my annual pay is quite nice.

Anyway, good or bad - it's my 18th anniversary with bossman! It's amazing that we haven't killed each other! Who woulda thunk????

I hope Bossman knows what a lucky man he is, gives you next week off with pay and takes you out for a Lobster dinner and Champagne tonight. ;;D

He does, he won't, but lobster and champagne, works for me. I'll let you know.

So if he don't take you out ASK for his credit card cause you KNOW he wants to and just doesn't have the time. He'll understand completely and just hand over the credit card and you'll have a nice lobster dinner...

Sheesh Sandy - you wouldn't have got 18 years if you'd killed him stone cold dead in the first six months of working there!!

Congrats on the 18 years. I am proud of you. I have just passed my 12th year at the same place and I only get 2 weeks paid holidays a year also.. I was promised a 3rd week after my 10 years but seeing is believing, right? :) I am ready to exercise that promise given to me.

My word is good, I wonder if their's is? ::)

Congratulations for 18. That's awesome. I hope you have another 18 with the same employeer ;;D

I've been with the same firm for 27 now. She says I get time off between 8:00am and 5:00pm when I go to my other job ;;D
