Once again Finland has a reason to celebrate: Kimi "Iceman" Räikkönen wins F1 world championship after one surprising race year.

Sorry about that, Helen. I didn't recall that one.

But you can thank/blame your countrymen for Kimi's nickname, though, because one British sport journalist named his piece about Räikkönen "Iceman cometh". I cannot recall if that one or Ron Dennis or who was the first to refer Kimi as Iceman... but the name stuck.

Even Finnish reporters refer Kimi that these days. Victory pieces today speak how "iceman came and conquered". ;;D

I met him at the start of his first season in F1 and as a Maclaren fan was pleased to see him follow in the footsteps of Mika - he deserves it and although he is now a *spit* *Spit* *SPIT* Ferrari driver *spit again* I truly think he deserves it :)

I'm not a Ferrari fan, either, but I'm always happy to see a fellow Finn succeed! :)
