OUCH is proud to announce the

2nd Annual Supporter Appreciation Day

- November 15, 2007 -


We as sufferers often neglect to tell those who help us through some pretty rough times just how much we appreciate all they do to help us and what they go through as supporters.  OUCH has once again set aside November 15 as a special day to do what we should be doing every day of the year - saying "Thank you" to our supporters.

We are having a contest for the best Supporter Appreciation Day slogan.  Please submit your entries to contact_ouch@ouch-us.org by midnight, November 1, 2007.  The winner will be announced here and on the OUCH website as well as in the OUCH Newsletter.  The newsletter will also publish messages to supporters in the November 2007 edition, so get those messages in to us at: newsletter@ouch-us.org.

Clusterheads, let's show our supporters just how much they really mean to us.  Please visit the Supporter Appreciation Day page at: http://www.ouch-us.org/suptapprday.htm.  From there you can access a page where you can leave messages to that special person in your life.

Last year our slogan was "Supporters have CH too.. Caring Hearts"

I'll happily post a box of chocolates to the Supporter chosen by the creator of the winning slogan.

This was determined by coin flip, right? Drawing names out of a hat?

I'm honored and humbled, but I had help. I just sent in the best one that was written on our dry erase board (I'm not telling who, but it wasn't in our son's handwriting).

Coin flip?  Nope.  Drawn out of a hat?  Naw.

I wrote down each of the entries without the names of who submitted them.  Yours was the one everyone chose.  Only after the decision was made, did I reveal who had won to the rest of the Directors.

Congrats!  I hear Ms Williams is making good on her end of the deal as we speak, er, type.


Okay, folks.  The contest is over, but the big day is still eight days away.  You still have time to leave a message for your supporter to read on his or her special day!

Wife had surgery last week so after work will try to keep helping as much as I can. She puts up with me so she deserves good treatment, next time I shouldnt wait till she has to get cut open though.

My best supporter will be complitely spoiled this week, because yesterday we celebrated the day we met 23 months ago and tomorrow it's the Supporter Appreciation Day... ;;D Now I have to make the awfully difficult decision: whether to give Eetu & Kasper salad or extra asparagus... ;;D

To my main supporter, my wife Angie. She watches me leave the room and sit's quietly while I pace, rock back and forth and moan. I cry out that I cannot take it anymore and she say's "the pain will stop soon, hang in there"

Afterwards she ask's if I am ok and I say yes, thanks hon. She goes to the Neuro with me and he appreciates her coming into the office with me. Between her support and the help of all my other supporter's on this board I am managing the pain much better. I have Verapamil and o2 and this has been a god send.

THANKS TO ALL THE SUPPORTER'S OUT THERE, YOU ARE TRUE ANGELS!
