Saturday 27th October is Open House here in Bingham.

Dape, Ike and Shedz are coming with their familes and anyone else who can make it is more than welcome too. (Michael if you see this I really hope you can make it!) I'm in Bingham in Notts about 20 minutes from J21a of the M1 or 20 minutes from the Grantham exit on the A1.

I'm cooking so come early afternoon or whenever you can make it. Plenty of O2 available don't worry!! :)

PM for directions, address or phone number as needed and for everyone who can't make it- there WILL be pics!

We asked for directions to a campground a few years ago and were told that the campground was "just a tick down yonder".

I'm so glad we now have GPS.....even though it doesn't display ticks or yonders.

Damn the inlaws! I would love to come but they are here that weekend and they are coming down to do some decorating for us, so I can't skip out.

LeLimey I would love to have come but have committments that weekend that are immovable. That is unless they happen to move themselves, too complicated to explain.

Should I suddenly be able to come I shall PM first to check it is OK and bring more nice food to add to yours. Is that OK?

Rest assured, if you can't make it this time I'll do it again before Christmas and you'll just have to come along to that instead/as well! :)

Yup I definitely do know MIL's!!! - although thankfully mine is now an "ex" mother in law ;;D

There is a God and he loves me!

BTW, when I say "you" are welcome anytime I did mean partners, kids etc and whatever! I come as a package myself (and its nice for supporters to get a chance to meet too.)

What does this kind of thing entail? Do I need to offer anything in particular e.g. my doc hasn't let me have O2 as yet but is "ruminating" on it, should the rather illogical man make the wrong decision I shall get it elsewhere I suppose.... >:( Ooooo lapsed into evil thoughts for a moment. So can't offer that as yet - chocolate cake perhaps? OK it isn't a known abortive but it is very nice especially if I fill it with cream!

Probably a particularly daft question but there you go.

Its just I thought for the future maybe I could do one in S Wales sometime next year.

We meet up anywhere and at the drop of a hat Saffy! Cakes are ALWAYS popular though LOL Meeting in pubs or Chef and Brewer type places is more the norm but I LIKE cooking and having people come to visit so I just decided to do it at my house (again! its an ongoing thing with me!)

I'd definitely come over to South Wales though, for m (kids) it would need to be at a weekend or during school holidays though.

There a a few of us who meet up regularly in London too. We all meet in a pub and people stay as long as they like - or until the last trains which ever comes first (last train for me as you probably guessed!)

The point is, there are no hard and fast rules. Its the getting together that's important, the rest of it is seldom remembered, just the sheer exhilaration of finally meeting others who really, REALLY get it.

You'll love it!

PS If needs be you can always try my O2 - at least that way you'll know whether you want to push for it or not with your doctor and you can tell him how it's worked for you.

Count me in for a get together. I'm frequently in London for work and am happy to drive pretty much anywhere. I live right on the Paddington - Swansea line too, so would have no problems getting down there for a meet.

I also love to cook/bake and am happy to whip something up if we all brought something along.

PS - Saffy, I have 02 and am quite close, so you can always borrow mine if you wanted to try it! I'm just waiting for a non-rebreather mask and a travel tank to arrive as I don't think it's working as well as it could. You're welcome to try it though.

York's my sweet Northampton is about an hour south of me down the M1 - you COULD come to visit and meet some more normal ch'ers than just me LOL Let's use up them thar 4 hours for you hon :)
