Hi all Terry here in DavCon for you that know me I wear a fentynal 75mcg/h pain patch and for the really bad ones I have 10mg morphine shots well here is my story from yesterday got up with a killer headache and my wifey (who gives me my shot) is in Cozumel Mexico. So I try to make it without because I cannot give myself a shot which is in the buttocks. I could go to neuro office and have them give it to me butt cost $25.00 or call best friend to come over and give it to me butt he is out of town also little sis is also out of town so after office hours about 5:30 pm I decide its time for me to get over being so affraid of needles so I load up the syringe go into bathroom lower my pj bottoms lean against sink take deep beath and push in needle BAMM lights out I passed out and fall against the door and hit floor by tub (thankfully I had dirty cloths and towells laying there where I fell). When I wook up and thought about what just happened I still have bad headache my left arm is sore and neck is also sore butt my butt is really really sore and I find syringe laying next to me and notice that most of the needle isnt there where it should be. So I look in the mirror and there is the rest of the needle in my buttocks. I tried for about 15-20 minutes trying to get it out and all I do is push it in deeper. So I end up going to the ER and am there almost 1 hour til Dr comes in and digs it out of my BUTT. So cost me about $75.00 to get neddle out and am there for almost 6 hours (will cost me another $75.00) cause they did finally give me the right meds to get rid of my 8-9 kip headache. And that is the END of my sore BUTT story. Terry (going to sleep on my left side tonight)

I am so sorry Terry, I am sure that hurt a lot :(..but I have a question, what is that of you guys and needles? why are men more afraid of needles that women?...my husband curses at the nurse whenever he gets a shot :D...

Hope you get to feel better soon and next time just go to the freaking Doctor office for the shot please ;;D

Lesson - You might want to start with something a little smaller and less likely to cause damage when you're all by yourself. ;;D

Yes, be careful. I love mice, and bugs, and lizards and snakes. Not afraid of needles, either. In fact, the only thing I'm afraid of is something happeneing to my family. :P

I wrote that to make a point. I don't believe that anymore than I believe that men are more afraid of needles than women.

Hey Terry! Thank God the maid was out of town and hadn't picked up that dirty laundry ;;D Oh yea, that's how you ended up in this mess in the first place [smiley=laugh.gif]

Damn man, next time you want to pluck up enough courage to concur a long held fear, remember to breath!!! Odds are you just held your breath and didn't realize it at the time. I know that's my normal reaction when I'm scared shitless.

I'm so sorry that you got hit and got another kind of pain as well. I feel for you; I hate needles and injections a lot and I'm scared of them as well.[smiley=hug.gif]

Damn, Terry. Sorry to hear that, but at least you had some excitement while everyone was out of town. ;)

BTW I just LOVE needles, as a matter of fact I spent an hour saturday evening having a gentleman repeatedly stick my arm with a needle over and over and over again. It left a pretty strange mark with black ink and stuff. 8)

Liz sorry my pictures camera is with wifey in Mexico and it doesnt have a wide angle lens anyway lol I am fine just feel kinda silly about it all and i cant believe i even posted it still havent decided if i am going to tell wifey butt she will see the bill anyway so might as well tell her if you see my point hahaha lol Terry (the wimp)

Sorry about that Terry...and lying down is a good idea if your;re ever in that situation again... :-[

And, Im terrified of mice...phobic about spiders...and every since I lived in Florida...Palmetto Bugs...they look like cockroaches on steroids...and they fly....
