Title: A quick update on Tara Ann and Family
Post by Tara Ann on Oct 15th, 2007, 8:51am
We are still plugging along.

First off I want to thank Cyn for the Halloween card.  Everyone here (esp. my dad) got a chuckle out of it.

I'll start with our only but very big good news.  Sam landed an awesome job.  It's at Boston Whaler.  He builds boats.  He's on the assembly crew.  Great pay, benefits, and perks.  The only downfall in our eyes is it pays biweekly so we have to learn how to budget differently.

My head is completely out of control.  I have a great new doc, he's registered with the NHF.  I'm on Keppra AND Topa plus a tranquilizer/antianxiety to help me sleep (so far I'm still not getting barely any of)  I keep passing out, I have no warning of it coming on, it just happens, I now have a fat lip thanks to kissing the floor.  I'm also sleep walking again.  I think the passing out and sleep walking are due to complete exhaustion and the extreme stress we are living with in this house.

We love this area though and feel we made the right choice moving to my dads until we get on our feet finacially.

Ok so in this house lives my Dad and step mom, her 2 sons (ages 18 and 24 one has no job) and both of them go out of their way to upset me and make fun of my cluster headaches.  Just last night I passed out into the sink and got all wet, I came to and Darious (the younger step brother) was laughing at me.  How is that funny?!?!?!  Not only was I at a K9 and I have my monthly migraine, but I was upset/ embarrased (ty topamax i cant spell anymore) enough as it was.  My youngest sister and her 3 yr old son also live here.

Sam and I found a house the other day that I fell in love with.  We were supposed to put money down on it on Saturday and then we would have been all set to move in the first week of November.  BUT instead someone stole $200 from my purse.  So we probably lost the house.  Unless the house is still avail when we come up with the money again.

I am about to lose my mind.  I really can't take much more of this.

I miss you guys.  I wish I could get online more.

The kids are doing pretty good.  Toni got put back to Kinderten cause she only went for 3 hrs last year and is behind the kids her age that went for 8 hrs last year.  Sammie is really catching up fast.  He is reading a lot better.  His confidence is growing day by day it's awesome.

Ok that's all I have time to write for now.  Huge hugs to you all.

I'll check in again when I can!

It's good to hear from you TA - just remember, the best family is the one you pick and you picked us - or we picked you - well whatever way around it was you've got us, we love you and we aren't going anywhere! We'll be right here waiting for you and thinking of you and wishing you well.. just hurry back when you can.

lots of love
Helen xxx

Rats.

All I can add is that over time, things tend to get better or at least even out as you pay some attention to them.

I know it's hard to get hold of but it's true.

Hold on kid.

I am so glad I lucked out picking the BEST family there was to pick.  Most ppl don't have that luxury.  And some of the blood family I have definately make me truly appreciate my cluster family more and more with each passing day.  I can not begin to express just comfort alone I have just knowing I have you all.  I hope that makes sense!

The meds, stress, pain, and lack of sleep are making me feel very very dumb lately.

I truly love you guys.  I wish I could hug each and every one of you.  Uh oh I'm getting all mushy and teary.  I'm  on such an emotional rollercoaster it's crazy ::)

We talked to the ppl about that house last night and still no difinitive answer.   Please vibe/pray that they are patient with us.  We just need them to wait until the first week of November.  Then we will have the money no problemo.  This house is so perfect, I have never walked into a house this unique and felt so at home.  I love it so much!  It's gorgeous, and the location is perfect too.  Rent with option to buy, which is exactly what we want too!  Just incase we decide this isn't exactly the town we want to buy in we aren't commited with a buy ....

Ok babbling now.  Bet ya didn't miss me babbling on and on! LOL

It worked!  We got the house!!!  We move in the first week of November!!!! Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ;;D

"If it weren't for bad luck we wouldn't have any" maybe finally that is going to change.  We have had one hellish adventure after another.  This house is a dream come true.  We are going to struggle with smiles on our faces!!!  I am so relieved , there is a light at the end of this dark, dreary tunnel after all.
