Title: Unreal 3 Beta Demo is Now Available Post by MvT on Oct 14th, 2007, 6:34pm Unreal Tournament 3 (formerly known as Unreal Tournament 2007) is the next title in Epic Games’ Unreal series. The game runs on Unreal Engine 3, the technology behind Gears of War and Rainbow Six Vegas, and is being developed for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Gameplay Unreal Tournament 3 was first revealed in mid-2005 in an exclusive Computer Gaming World feature. Epic was keen to convey the fact that UT3 was a break from previous UT titles, and a return to the glory days of Unreal Tournament. The gritty in-your-face combat of the original Unreal Tournament and Gears of War is back in UT3, as well as the heavier gravity of those games. Double Domination, Assault and Bombing Run are out. UT3 features old favorites like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and CTF, as well as Vehicle CTF, Onslaught and the all-new Unreal Warfare mode. Warfare in particular has potential to be a clan favorite – it’s Battlefield meets XMP on a huge scale, with some resource management thrown into the mix. Title: Re: Unreal 3 Beta Demo is Now Available Post by Opus on Oct 14th, 2007, 11:31pm Hmmmm, I couldn't find the .deb, I can install from source but couldn't find that either. Now that finally have a box that can play games I have been looking for some. On Slashdot I saw one that might be good. Alien Arena 6.10 was just released. (http://red.planetarena.org/) This isn't a demo but the whole game. I have not tried it yet because I have just started setting up this box and don't have a game pad but here is a review (http://www.linux.com/feature/119775) Paul [smiley=smokin.gif] |

Your right, but this is a windows game too and also open source and free. That means if the creators decide to move on, anyone in the world can continue improving it. I think that Microsoft windows will always the best gaming platform, and Linux, OS X, Solarus, and UNIX will remain the platforms if you want to get some serious work done. Paul [smiley=smokin.gif] |
