One would think that that much alcohol (216 oz.) in 72 hours would be toxic in it's own rite.

As I said...I wouldn't want THAT hangover.

Got to agree The drip would kill me now but half my life ago my blood alcohol level was measured as blood in my alcohol level. was running about 90 proof no disease could survive the sterile enviroment so for years I never got sick . Now I dont drink and get sick all the time.

Tolerances are built, I don't know actually how many in a case but I can vouch for nine at least in that time but moreso over a longer five day period quite commonly.

Drinking everyday doesn't have hangovers. His though, yeah, I'd imagine, except they may have been added preventive measures like water and certain vitamins to minimize. Not the usual type of care someone who drinks on a comparative level would attend to.

I wouldn't think aid bordering on life threatening would be understandably approproved by administration.

Article says he had previously been dripped 100% alcohol as the medical procedure before running out. Vodka would be of course less potent.

About Everclear:

Everclear is a brand of pure grain alcohol, available in 190 proof (95%) and a less common 151 proof (75.5%) variant. It is produced by the David Sherman Corporation.Because of its strength it is illegal in many US states, and probably not available outside USA (at least not the 190 proof variant). Everclear is basically a strong form of vodka.

Warning: Can be lethal when used as shots or substituted for water in Jello shooters.

Less potent...but not by much...whew...

I didn't read where they mentioned the brand used. It's been a long time, I thought I remembered 90 proof for Vodka, I was a James, James Beam, not shaken or stirred, room temp and don't bother with a glass. The medicinal 100% would seem more a concern to me. :o

Everclear? Wonder if it was originally Kentucky bred. ;)
