Title: Pray for me
Post by jimmers on Oct 10th, 2007, 7:21am
Please send prayers and vibes so I will resist the temptation to turn up the thermostat! ;;D

Together we can do this! The energy companies get enough of our money :P

Actually Chew and Jen got the right idea, and for you Jimmers, from the "I gotta be me" category of attire, here's a nice cap too.  But like white pants after Labor Day, may not be cool beyond Halloween.

No heat going yet but been thinking the same way also Jimmers and after looking at the next two day forecast, the heat will be on though.  I'm not waking up to 40 degrees around here.

The landlord has yet to fire up the boilers for the complex, so I had no choice but to run space heaters last night and this morning.

Turning them off during the day of course, but it's looking to be a rather cool day and coming home after work is going to a chilly experience I'm sure.

I still had the air conditioner on this morning!! It wasn't running, but the thermostat was set to air rather than heat (it's 45 degrees outside right now).

You can do it Jimmers - you're a ruff tuff cream puff ready for hardship!

Keep WEenergys a little poorer; put on some thick socks and stoke up that fireplace. :P

Being cool in the house is not a problem for me, hell if I had my way it would be like a meat locker. Problem is I'm up against a more powerful force, her name is Barb ;;D

She's hot in the Summer and freezing in the Winter. Must be a Woman thing ;;D

you do so at your own peril.

C'mon now Ladies,

I'm the boss in my home! Until about 5:30 pm. anyway ;;D

I get home usually about 5 pm. so that gives me about 1/2 hour to boss the cat around ;;D

The Man Song by Sean Morey

I don't take no crap from anybody! ... else but you.
I wear the pants around here!...when I'm finished with your laundry.
'Cause I'm a guy you don't want to fight! ... when I say "jump" you say "yeah, right".
I'm the man of this house! ... until you get home.

What I say goes around here! ... right out the window.
And I don't want to hear a lot of whining! ... so I'll shut up.
The sooner you learn who's boss around here! ... the sooner you can give me my orders, dear.
'Cause I am the head honcho! ... but it's all in my head.

And I can have sex anytime! ... that you want.
'Cause I'm a man who has needs! ... but they're not that important.
And don't expect any flowers from me! ... because if I'm not mistaken you prefer jewelry.
I'm the king of my castle! ... when you're not around.

And I'll drink and watch sports whenever I want! ... to get into trouble.
And I'll come home when I'm good and ready! ... to sleep on the couch.
Because a man's got to do what a man's got to do! ... and I'm going to do what you tell me to.
Because I'm top dog around here! ... but I've been neutered!

Me too!! Finally succumbed... heat is on. 61 is just too cold for non-sleeping time.... (it's only set at 66 - just enough to warm me up a bit) One year I made it past Thanksgiving before I turned it on...

I wonder if other women feel like I do.  I have a very definite temperature threshold......76 is too cold and 78 is too hot. Give me 77 and I am ready to go.

Dammit! It's finally cold outside and I can't go hunting this weekend, Barb has to work. Go figure.

The consolation is she gets 10 hours of time and a half. That'll help pay the heating bill. GO BARB!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes ladies, I will do the laundry and the dishes and have supper ready when she gets home cause I know my place ;;D
