We anchored out in the harbor and the water starting bubbling all around us. Large school of big blues.Caught two and lost two.

Blue Fish. They got teeth that will take off a finger. They are veracious.

The bigger one snapped the first eye off my rod and the line burned through the second eye of the rod.

I was thinking maybe small blue tuna. A little mayonnaise and Wonderbread is a hit that will keep on coming for a month of brown bag lunches. For you though, the highlight Ritz cracker delight when entertaining that special date.

Nice catch.

I read John Hersey's book, "Blues", years ago--and have been intrigued by bluefishing ever since. Relentless, powerful eating machines...I've heard that catching them will make your heart beat a little faster. :)

Unfortunately, they're a little scarce in these parts.

Wow Chew, you remind me I'm surrounded by Great Lakes, but avoid the puddle at the end of the driveway when it rains. Take advantage bud of the opportunity surrounding you.

Might I add you're doing well keeping this boat afloat. Vegas is losing their @ss with the odds they posted.

I've caught a few of those off the surf in NJ years ago. They put up a heck of a fight. When they school like that, they're terrorizing a school of bait fish.

Blues are tough critters to wrangle. Went sharkin' a while ago off the coast of Delaware and ran into a school of blues.

Got one on my line and fought with that darned fish for what seemed to be like forever.

When we finally got him into the boat, my brother had to pry the fishing pole out of my hands because my muscles were so strained. I swear I couldn't lift my arms for about 1/2 an hour.

Nice fish Don, including the two Striped Bass. A little different species than we have here and as far as Bass go they are huge.

Enjoy them! Stuffed with onions, butter and seasoning wrapped in foil then BBQ is how we like our fish done. Oh, and a little beer while they are cooking. ;;D
