I bet his kids go to the 'suburban schools for the uber rich whose's parents are trying to bridge the gap between the super rich and the uber rich by building a 30k sq ft mansion'. You can get a good education at those schools. What a waste of skin. This idiot is to the democratic party what Mark Foley, Tom Delay, Duke Cunningham and Larry Craig are to the republican party - a liability. |

Let's see, he was answering a question from an African American, and we all know that whites are the minority in inner city neighborhoods.... Also, his kids probably go to great schools... so do mine. Should we not make an effort to get our kids a better education? Mine go to school in a different city, because the schools in my district might as well be inner city schools. If I can't fix the problem, I'm not gonna sacrifice my kid's opportunities to make a point. |

I think kids should get an education from the school in their district. Kids deserve a good education whether their parents can afford special expenses or not. It's a huge undertaking that will involve the feds, local governments, communities, school districts, teachers and parents. My kids are in public charter schools, founded by a dedicated bunch of teachers and administrators. It's worth the transportation costs. |
