Title: Photos On The Lighter Side - A Little Critter Talk
Post by Batch on Sep 17th, 2007, 5:42pm
Barry had the right idea...  His photos of the chipmunk lurking in the tailpipe of his GTO were a great diversion.

Following Barry’s lead, I too, have frequently noticed that many posts are often far too serious or heavily mixed with urgent requests for needed attention or a compassionate ear.  These requests are essential and we should make every attempt to reply to them with as helpful and compassionate responses as possible.  Having said that, a heavy diet of these exchanges can become more than daunting to many readers and responders.

Accordingly, I've assembled a few photos I’ve taken of critters, and annotated them with what I think, are captions of what these critters might say if they could, in the hope they’ll bring a smile to your face.

In case you’re interested, the photos of the Harris's Antelope Squirrels were taken at Hoover Dam near the canteen on the Nevada side of the Colorado River.  Photo’s of the other critters were either taken on the deck or down in the garden here at our home in Virginia. Enjoy.

V/R, Batch

Great photos, Pete.   :)  You're pretty darned good with that camera.

Seeing "Tony" and "Chuck" fiddling with the 02 cylinder makes me a little uneasy, though--if we screw up and go extinct, the raccoons will most likely take over.

They've got brains, they've got fingers... but raccoons don't strike me as being wired any tighter than we are.  They're probably sunk.   ;;D

Best,

George

Awesome Batch. Those were some great pics with the captions. Angie and I just got home from biking and read this thread and still laughing. [smiley=laugh.gif]

A good laugh at the end of a day sure puts a different look on things. Thanks again.

Ok, one more from me. This was taken May 19 07  by me about 3 feet from the corner of my house. We just turned into the driveway when we saw "Bart The Bear" wandering around our back yard. This is as close as I got to him/her so better to be safe than sorry.

Now that is an outdoor pet! [smiley=laugh.gif]

ONLY if he DECIDES to remain an outdoor pet ... What if he DECIDED he wants to become an indoor pet?   LOL!!!

We had Beulah Bear as an outdoor guest for a few years ... fortunately, she never decide to try the indoor life!!! LOL !!!!
