Title: Hi Guys Post by Maffumatt on Sep 17th, 2007, 3:13pm I'm at a friends house and he was kind enough to allow me the use of his computer. We are leaving tonight for that long ride to California, one we made many times before, but this one will be like no other. This last month has beendifficult yet the most rewarding in my life and I will cherish this time for the rest of my life. At the end of this trip I get to see my parents wed again, they divorced in 88, and this will be the first time my whole family has been together since 1994. I do know this, I hope when my time comes that I have as good and as many friends as my dad has. This last week has been full of good byes and tears and for the first time in my life I have seen my father for the man he is and not just Pop. I want to thank those that sent cards and esp Barbara D, she is truely a wonderful woman. You guys be well. Matt |

Title: Re: Hi Guys Post by Maffumatt on Sep 20th, 2007, 2:40am We made it OK, only got pulled over once in El Paso, was let off with a warning. We drove straight through. Pop slept most of the way and my brother drove most of the way. We made good time, only took us 21 hours. In the morning we are going to take a drive up to the mesa and down the valley to see my uncle. We took I20 to I10 so we never got close to you Nani, Dad wanted to see Texas Canyon one more time. I fly back Monday. Be well guys. |
