Title: Activated
Post by Callico on Sep 11th, 2007, 1:51pm
My son, Lance Corporal Robert D. Callison reported for activation yesterday.  He will be going to CA for refresher training, then deployment to Iraq in Jan.  This is the third time he has volunteered for active duty, but the first time he has been selected.  I couldn't be prouder!  he decided six years ago today, Sept 11, 2001 that he would serve, and has not turned back from his decision once.

This is Rob with his girlfriend, soon to be fiancee I hope, at the Marine Ball last fall.

Wow!  He sure looks handsome.  I love a man in uniform.  Especially a Marine one.  My son Christopher is in boot camp right now for the Marines.  He graduates 11/2.  We are flying out to San Diego to watch his graduation ceromony and are contemplating buying him his dress blues.  He wants them to wear to the Marine ball in Mineapolis this year.  Thank your son for his service to his country from me and my family.  While he is active duty you may want to check out this website.  WWW.MarineParents.com  It has a message board for recruits and one for Marines and deployments.  It offers information on anything you can think of plus has a store where you can buy Marine bumperstickers, clothes, mugs, etc .  Check it out!
