Title: You Grateful?
Post by chewy on Sep 7th, 2007, 11:16am
Clusterheads are grateful for the silliest shit.

A simple full nights sleep

That the dog or cat wasn't in our path last night at 3 AM

No one ate the bag of peas in the freezer

Still have some plaster left to repair the latest hole

That excercise is a trigger and I wont have to mow the front lawn.

Most of the broken furniture is not beyond repair

The State Trooper that observed me injecting myself in the breakdown lane has migraines.

Anybody else?

Red Bull tastes so awful that no one else in the family would touch them

When the oxygen gauge is on empty there actually still enough for a few more puffs

And this one for Chuck : the toilet seat is not broken!

That I have you all here, 24/7, to make me smile- even when I should be working (LIKE NOW)

That I have the most luscious looking peaches at home just waiting to be eaten.

My boss is buying me lunch...from Taco Bell....saving me $1.94.    LOL

Any beer you have in the fridge will last a lot longer when you're in cycle.

That my children have learned NOT to stand on the air hose while Daddy wears his funny mask.

That my employer allows me access to a private space so I won’t scare the other employees with my funny mask

That my O2 supplier left me an extra funny mask so I could remove the valve cover and finally get the tape off my other funny mask.

That I have the pleasure to hug and kiss my daughter anytime I feel like it: during the day, night, etc  :D for at least another year...

That it does not matter how ugly or bloated I feel in the day, for her (my daughter) I am the most beautiful mother ever!!  ;;D

That once the beast is gone , I can go back to my life and enjoy the rest of it. CH will not keep me down!!   [smiley=sayyes.gif]

That tonight I will see my Husband's adoring eyes after He eats the dinner I made for him  ;)...

simple things, big things    ;;D

That I recognized that a coworker was suffering from CH's and with information I supplied to him, showed it to his doctor and now has trex to fight the beast. He had nothing before that. Now we are good friends!

On the way to an interview, pull off the side of the road, arrive an hour late looking and feeling like hell, and still get the job.  ;;D

Grateful that there is very little genetic component to this.

Grateful that it's not contagious.

Yes...very grateful for things I used to consider a "given" before CH's...a full nights sleep.

Enjoying a good meal from start to finish with getting hit and having to either leave or get up and use 02.

For my husband seeing me at my very worst, and acting no different toward me....for the simple things.  Fireplaces...my favorite season..Fall...cooking...many, many things that having such an interrupted life...that when it's not interrupted...I cherish all the more.

A wife that has been patient and willing to stay with me for the last 30 yrs, 26 with this mess, 3 1/2 chronic.  She has been willing to put up with me when I am so sleep deprived I can't think straight and snap at her for no real reason, when I can't work enough to make ends meet and she has to do without.  I could go on and on about her, but she is what has made life bearable for the last 15 yrs since the CH got really bad.  Besides that, I really like being around her!  She's my best friend.

This site that has made me laugh and cry and has shown me how to live with this mess.

For the wonderful friends I have made here.

Jerry

There is a name for what we have.

My runway in my house stay's clear of shoes, other objects ect.

Learning from all of you what helps to tame the beast.

Discovering o2!!!!

Being a family member to all of you.

Having Angie as a very strong supporter.

Being in full cycle and being able to do daily stuff knowing my o2 is with me 24/7 just in case.

Making best friends here on this site.

I could go on forever, but must go to work now.

 Gratefully, Barry ;;D

That my wife puts up with me because there is a reason I am this way [smiley=laugh.gif

That perfect strangers will go out of there way to make sure someone is not in pain.

That we always have an excuse to leave a lame event or overwhelming family get together.....E is getting hit...we better go.....Been times that I just rubbed my eye b/c of an itch and people are excusing us. It rocks
