Title: What are you all up to this weekend?
Post by LeLimey on Sep 7th, 2007, 4:47am
Friday - Fertilised friend coming to stay for weekend while she can still fit behind wheel of car to drive up here.
Off to Ikea this afternoon with said Fertilised Friend as she wants to buy baby stuff.
Jasper is having his little friend Ellis come to tea and then ex is having kids while FF and I go out for a meal tonight but ssshhhhh!! Last time I went out with Lisa I collapsed, landed on my arse and ended up in hospital. I don't want my innards knowing anything about tonights little jaunt  ;;D

Saturday will be spent with Lisa and the kids, just having fun and probably going for a nice long walk down the old railway weather permitting. Saturday night having other friends come around for a drink while Lisa is up and we can have a giggle.

Sunday I'm cooking Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding and all the trimmings (My yorkies are betterer than Yorky's Yorkies of course!) Will also be packing while the FF is here and can sit ont he cases along with the kids so I can shut 'em. (If the TSA open them to check then they are on their own closing them again and that'll teach 'em to look at a ladies apple-catchers won't it?!  ;;D )

Monday kids back to school, last minute panic of
- Have I got my passport
- Where the effin eck did I put my damn dollars
- Checking my flight schedule eleventy one times to make sure I know what time I have to leave home to get to the airport
- Bazillions of phone calls making sure everything is organised for while I'm away
-  Avoiding calls from Ting Tong cos that man can't bleedin shut up
- Picking up kids from school. Important. MUST NOT LEAVE THEM THERE... Teachers have a tendancy to get pissed off.
- Feeding said kids and making sure they have school stuff ready for morning as they're sleeping elsewhere that night.
- Leaving house at Silly O'Clock to allow twice as long to get to the airport in case of traffic jams (at 3am  ::) ) I'm paranoid about being late though.

I'm a nervous wreck - which reminds me

- GET ARSE INTO DUTY FREE SHOP  ;;D

Cleaning...cleaning and more cleaning so the place is acceptable for guests.  Speaking of guests, I hope they are HAVING FUN with friends and going out to dinner this weekend while I'm cleaning, cleaning, cleaning ::)

After more cleaning I'll be mowing, laundry, shopping, cooking, more cleaning, working on cars, sleep, then going to work.

My sympathies but... some people bungie jump from high places, scale Mt. Everest, freefall parachute, trek the Arctic, chosen prolonged stays at the Mir space station that end problematically prolonged, or bring lots of bacon in grizzly country.

You've got Helen as a coming as a guest.   Exciting, yet containing possibilities beyond where no man should have gone before.  All respect, how does one prepare?

Taking one on the noggin and most elsewhere for mankind in this way is a very brave and rewarding undertaking.

Though at 412 - 1, I'm down in Vegas for your survival and actually able to someway find joy, without bumping into walls mumbling to yourself afterwards.

All best and much confidence in you.

Weekend wishes in highest regard.  Hope to hear from you beyond next Tuesday, and will understand if it's not legible anymore.

Vibes available.

Going to the Dentist at 11:00am today to get a chipped tooth fixed. [smiley=spit.gif]

Work 1/2 Saturday then a bike ride. Watch a Nascar Race Saturday night. Angie and I are joining a group ride with about 30 other riders. We are going to ride about 40 kms (23 miles?) over some of our area's awesome Canadian shield (rock) then back to Boston Pizza for food and drinks [smiley=beer.gif]

I will be away from my o2 ( I have not figured out how to take it along on my bike yet ::) )so I hope my head behaves or there will be a lot of people who will get their first taste of what a CH attack is all about!

Happy weekend all!

The kids are throwing my and Ma a B-day party on Saturday.  Ma's is Sunday and mine is Tuesday.  The idea was to have it at my Son's appt but he doesn't have A/C and it's gonna be 90F.  I hope they take my suggestion and have it at my house where we have a pool and A/C!

I hope everyone has a PF weekend.

Wrapping Sarah in  eleventy one hundred layers of bubble wrap and then duct taping said layers securely (since she took a gainer the other day and landed on her left knee, therefore turning it the most beautimous colors of black, purple, yellow and green).  Why she couldn't land on her right knee and just keep the injuries to one leg, I will never know  ;).

Otherwise, will probably do as little as possible, back/hip/leg is killing me and I have icecream resets coming up that are a byatch and can otherwise cripple and maim healthy individuals and I have to get it healed up before then.

Think I will throw a roast in the slow cooker for supper tomorrow night, that way I don't have to do much in the way of *cooking*.

Saturday is our final round of our year-end golf tournament, I am currently one shot ahead of the field.  After the tournament we have a small award ceremony with food and beer.  Sunday, whatever my wife wants to do.

Flooring's in, and the interior painting is almost done.  Moving the sticks that are going to remain back into the house, arranging to have the sticks that are not going to stay picked up by a charitable organization.

New sticks being delivered.  Ordering new blinds and curtains.  Preliminary reconnoitering on the exterior of the house prior to painting (I can reconnoiter for a really long time, but I doubt I'll be allowed to forever).  Agonizing over the bathrooms, which I'll be tearing apart and putting back together this winter.  I hear that a new refrigerator would be nice, and now that the house is looking so good, the landscaping could use some work.

Maybe I'll just move away.  Australia sounds good.

I really need to go fishing.

Best wishes,

George

The usual cooking/cleaning routine.

Saturday day: clean the pool, yard cleanup and hopefully gettin' some sun while lounging in a lawn chair. Saturday night my bro-in-law and sis-in-law may be coming over for way too much beveraging and watching the Rich race.

Sunday, back to reality- more cooking & cleaning etc.

(I know you're going to ask, so yes Liz, it is  LOL)

Let's see now...

Friday - going to summer cottage with mum, clean it, taking piccies of the swans (saw 4 of them) and surroundings.

Saturday - clean bit more of the summer cottage, go to visit my 2 uncles at mum's childhood home. I met my 3rd uncle, his wife and their son there as well. Picked 10 litres (that's one HUGE bucket) of lingonberries. My best supporter loves them, so he'll be happy. :) Got back to summer cottage, saw more swans and 2 crazy squirrels.

Sunday - finished putting summer cottagre ready for the winter, left for Jyväskylä. And here I am, at rainy Jyväskylä. :)

I love lingonberries too Sanna! Meatballs aren't the same without lingonsylt and nor are many other meats - Ikea smiles when it sees me coming LOL I love the cordial made from them too. YUM! I'll tell you what, I'll swap for some elderflower cordial next year?!

Wish List:  ;;D

Fly Fishing

Riding horse

Baking

Showing sheep - getting a rossette

Walking up my favourite mountain The Skirrid about 2 miles from me.

Reallity

Went to the show just to look, no sheep or cows at all as no entries done because of recent Foot and Mouth movements only just lifted and organisers didn't want to organise on the hop! Grrr Not much to see!

Cooked Sunday lunch, made a really yummy gooey choc ice cream.

Groomed horse.

Walked dogs.

Going for a walk now but not up the mountain.

No fishing - again.  [smiley=mad.gif]

Oh well better luck next week.

Saffy

;)

Let's see.....

White tulle (is that how you spell it?) bows
Blue Satin ribbon
Yellow silk flowers with silk sea grass
Glue gun
florist wire and tape
pinking shears

I've got two big plastic bins, one packed with wedding stuff (all of the above), the other packed with beach house stuff necessities like T-paper, paper towels, plates, cups, etc.  Another bin being packed with beach house necessities like vodka, tequila, margarita and bloody mary mixes.

When I'm done with the laundry and ironing, I'm planning on a nice long hot bath where I'm giving myself a manicure, pedicure, aromatherapy soak, shave, and to put Nair on my upper lip, all the while sitting there with a nice cold vodka and tonic and a good book!

I'm pooped.   :P

And weather reports are predicting rain all weekend!   :-/

Sure! :) We just have to do the swap before Timo finds out that there are lingonberries in the house! It didn't take long before he begun to eat the berries right out of the box! :o He loves them a lot. :)

Charlie, they're very Finnish, too. :)

This year everything is early. Mum said that usually lingonberries can be picked at the end of September, early October. Lucky for us! Especially, when we got there before my uncle, who plans to pick 90 litres of them during this week... That' a lot of lingonberries! ;;D
