He was 71. His manager, Terri Robson, told the AP in an e-mailed statement that Pavarotti died at his home in Modena, Italy, at 5 a.m. local time. Pavarotti had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and underwent further treatment in August. Title: Re: Luciano Pavarotti Dies Post by sandie99 on Sep 6th, 2007, 3:27am My parents loved Pavarotti's voice. On our way to somewhere we listened to the Three Tenors or just Pavarotti. He lives via his music. Mum comes to pick me up tomorrow (we're going to the summer cottage), I bet that she will have her copy of Pavarotti's Ti Adoro cd with her. Sanna |

Title: Re: Luciano Pavarotti Dies Post by Callico on Sep 6th, 2007, 10:01am I'm terribly sorry. He has not sung for several years now, but it is still a loss to know he is gone. He is one of the primary reasons I got hooked on opera. He made classical voice fun. Jerry |
