JD has been losing his teeth, he is at that age bless his heart. He had one tooth that cracked and it became infected. They are going to pull that tooth tomorrow. They gave us some med to give him a hour before. They are using the laughing gas on him. The thought of having a tooth pulled puts me into a big panic. Not him he is ready. They say it won't be bad on him because his baby teeth are not attached to anything. The xrays show teeth right behind it. I was so hoping it would fall out on its own.
Any way give JD the thumbs up on this. Prayers for his Mom and me and him would be a good thing ! They should give his mom and me something to calm us down !

JD will be just fine and he would not even feel pain, it will take longer to sit him in the chair than the whole procedure to take place...

Give him a bing HUg and kiss from me and Mireille, He is such a brave little boy :)

Elaine - I was in the fifth grade when it came time for braces on my teeth. In order for my gumline to accomodate my teeth, I had to have eleven of them pulled (most baby, a few permanent that were still down in my jaw). No gas, just novocaine. Lots of novocaine.

Of course I wanted my mom to stand next to me. I could tell she was afraid, but like a trooper she stood right next to me. Until they started cranking on the first one. She turned white as a ghost then politely asked me if she could go wait in the lobby. By that time I had determined that this didn't hurt at all so I "excused" her.

Several big craters later I was on my way to the orthodontist where I had my braces applied. Pretty barbaric by today's standards.

Local anesthetic plus gas? JD will be fine. Just don't let him listen to Seargent Pepper's on the iPod while he's under the influence. You might not get him all the way back! [smiley=laugh.gif]

You and he will be in our thoughts and prayers.

They won't let me nor his mother go in with him. They say its to small a room for him and the nurse and her. They will have her a chair right outside the door. I am going and sitting in the car. I want to keep the air on so he won't be to hot when he comes out. Heck Brew JD is fine with it all. He is excited! He said he wanted them to pull out all the lose ones. Lord he may come back toothless ! OK I admit Deveny and I are the once needing prayer LOL

Sweetie, you will do well tomorrow. I had to have four wisdom teeth pulled a while ago and I was fine. If I can make it thru, so can you!

Just be sure to take care of Grandmom for us, okay? Also be sure to ask the dentist for the tooth so you can leave it for the tooth fairy.

No sense in going thru all of this if you don't get any money from the tooth fairy, right??? ;) ;;D

I so know what your going through.I took April to a pediatric dentist who is awesome with kids.She had happy juice when they filled some of her teeth.I needed it I was a wreck.Billy and becky were there and re-assured me she'd be fine.I tried to be brave we had to stay in the waiting room too.Before they brought April back out this little boy came in the room crying his little heart out.They said it was the way the "happy juice affected him" it effects everyone differently.He hadn't even seen the dentist yet.I had to leave the room because I was crying. :'( I know he wasn't hurting but dang if it didn't break my heart.
By the way my brave girl did great.all the other kids were crying or sleeping.Not April she was trying to chase the birds she saw coming out of the picture in the waiting room.She really couldn't walk but she sure tried....LOL.. I wish I had a camcorder with me she was so funny giggling and saying how much she liked "happy juice' and trying so hard to catch the imaganary birds.I just hope the girls never have to have any surgery oral surgery or otherwise.I cry to easy... :-/

Oh man Deveny went and picked up the meds we have to give JD a hour before his visit. Valium ! I was thinking where is ours? ::) We need it worst than him ! I was up most of the night.

JD is home and doing fine. Nana and Deveny can't wait for bed time we are wore out.

JD is a funny kid, he is always laughing and making us laugh.
This morning at 10:00 we gave JD his Valium. The kid chewed it up YUCK ! We get him in the car its a hour ride to the dentist office. His Mom sat in the back with him, about 15 minutes after taking the meds everything was funny to him and us also. We get there. I get out and Deveny gets out of the truck, she undone his seat belt, he goes to step on the ground and his knees buckle, we caught him. He starts saying in a voice we don't know "Why did you do this you have crippled me" We are laughing and telling him its the effect of the pill and it will go away. We have to carry him in. He is heavy it takes us both. We all stager in the office. All the people in the waiting room are laughing at the way he is talking, and so are we. He says "Its not nice to laugh at other peoples pain." They took him back we went to the door and stood there with our ears against the door. We soon heard the doctor say its over. Then they let us in. He did not feel a thing. We had to carry him to the car. He fell asleep on the way home woke up just before we got home and said he wanted a Happy Meal. They said he could eat what ever he wanted. Off we went to get a happy meal. We brought him home he ate every bit of it. He is wide awake and back to normal. Nana is still shaking, Mom has calmed down. We never said we were scared. But JD must of knew we was cause he said. See there was nothing to worry about ! :-)
