I wonder if it is too late to cancel my trip over there ... in 12 days!!!

It is presently a balmy 87F and 30.6C, here in wonderful North Carolina.  And I am leaving HERE, to go THERE?? ??

Writing up check list of things to pack:
- 6 pairs thermo long johns
- 17 sweaters
- 2 pair fur lined gloves
- 2 one piece down filled snow suits
- 12 pairs heated woolen socks
- 8 pair fur lined jock strap
- Box of band aids to keep the neeeeples from rubbing against the woolen long johns
- One pair Icelandic tested galoshes

I am sure I am forgetting something ...

Svenn,

Now would be a good time to visit Arizona huh? Yes, it's monsoon season but still 100+ outside in the shade. But then again I can't wait to go home to Chicago this winter to see some snow.

Also for Mia's birthday enjoyment we went to the Arizona/ Sonora Desert Museum this weekend (It's an all outdoor living museum) and I took TONS of pictures of Tucson, the desert, mountains and all kinds of lizards, javelinas etc for you, including the sunset, like you wanted. I left my digital at my mom's last night so I will pick it up tomorrow and upload and email them or post them here.

For those who wanted bday pics of Mia....I'll post them too!!

You are forgetting snow shoes Chuckie!!!

Remember to pack the bottles of Chivas really good because they can't longer be carry on board. So, it is your risk to take them as luggage  :(

The first time I had contact with snow, I got neumonia  [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif]

I guess cold weather is not my best friend, I will always be a Tropical Girl. I am cold at 75 F.  :)

I haven't seen snow since 1984 when I left Cleveland.  It was up to my hip, and 17 degrees below F. when I left for Florida.  The snow plows could barely keep the roads open.

I wouldn't mind being there for a day or 2, Svenn, as long as I'm inside with a nice fireplace lit. :)
