Title: Bad News, Good News, Bad News,?????? Post by tanner on Aug 31st, 2007, 6:07pm Ok the bad news is that Uncle Kracker had to cancel tonight's gig at the Race Park.... Good part is that he had to cancel because a member of our justice system decided that sexual assault was a serious offense even if you do have a lot of money and connections. Bad news is that tomorrows Charlie Daniels show is the last of our "Summer Concert Series" so it looks like it will be my last event to work. Good news is that I got called in yesterday out of the blue to interview with the department head of the only Dept. at the track that I have had zero contact with. I got a call back this afternoon from HR to make sure that the salary range mentioned was acceptable, so barring any issues coming up it looks like I will become the Director of the Programs Dept. which means coordinating with the press and the other tracks to forecast our needs for all printed materials regarding the race track. It will mean time on the puter to do research and on the phone to deal with sponsors and racing officials as well as training the staff in customer service and making sure that all of our kiosks are manned and ready for each days events and races. I will get to promote my own assistant or hire in from outside. Full benefits, full time and then some and a job that should keep me very busy. Bad News is that my only boss will be the Director of Admissions, and she happens to be a very hot 30 yr old ;;D Long hours but I think I am gonna like it ;;D.....Tim |
