Title: what a way to start vacation Post by JenniferD on Aug 31st, 2007, 6:08am Alarm goes off at 2 am to wake hubby. I shook him and called him twice...... then fell back to sleep. Phone rings at 4:40, its his boss. Darryl jumps outta bed realizing how late he is, cussin and yellin and madder than hell cuz he's late. His truck hasn't been running right lately and he needed to get it checked, so yesterday I'd told him to take my car today. He didn't. He called at 5:30. (Insert big truck part here) shot THRU the gas tank and the drive train or some other big truck part was dragging on the ground. He's now waiting for hazmat to come clean up the 15 gallons of gas that has spewed from what once was his truck and I am waiting for him to call so I can go pick him up. Guess we're going to shopping for a new truck :-/ oh btw: good morning everyone. |

Title: Re: what a way to start vacation Post by Brewcrew on Aug 31st, 2007, 7:27am Jen - This doesn't sound like vacation to me. It sounds like a regular work day. "We were up at 2:00 to pack the truck for our trip to the lake to go fishin'. Headed out at 3:30 to get a jump on traffic and weren't gone half an hour when a VW Beetle had the audacity to jump through our gas tank. Now we're looking for a new truck and the Beetle is looking for an undertaker." Now THAT sounds like vacation. |

Title: Re: what a way to start vacation Post by JenniferD on Aug 31st, 2007, 8:25am ok, we're back. Thankfully he didnt get hurt and on our way home there was an old man whose car broke down on the side of the road. We tried to help him, ended up giving him a ride. So we did get to help someone. Once home, for no apparent reason, ALL the settings on my puter have changed and I can't get it back. This window I'm typing in now is about 2" X 4"!!!! Oh, and instead of sitting here relaxing in my jammies, drinking coffee and yappin with y'all, I have to cook breakfast >:( edit to add: sorry. I'm just fussin. |

See? It wasn't a bust. You were put into a situation where you were allowed to show what you're really made of. How cool is that? Quote:
