Title: Seems I'm getting ready to deliver Post by echo on Aug 30th, 2007, 11:41am a bouncing 52 year old gall bladder. Lots of stones ready to try to escape. Thought a horse was standing just above the bottom of my right rib cage the other night. Good God passing one of the stones hurts. Ultrasound shows several in the bottom and three getting ready to move out. Just hope I have my surgery before they decide to head south. Surgery next week and will be out for 10 to 14 days. Just keeping you all in the loop. |

We'll be watching for your gall-bladderless self to reappear in a couple weeks. Good luck. You realize bear gall-bladders fetch about 4 grand apiece on the black market, right? Just a thought. Best wishes, George |

Title: Re: Seems I'm getting ready to deliver Post by Charlie on Aug 30th, 2007, 6:48pm You're not alone. I don't miss mine that was yanked out in 1983. The operation is simpler these days, so I am told. You ain't gonna miss it. Nothing to worry about but of course I used be a five feet tall Polynesian woman. :o Charlie |

Title: Re: Seems I'm getting ready to deliver Post by BarbaraD on Sep 1st, 2007, 7:43am It's not that bad. My mom had her's "sucked" out when she was 80 -- woke up, went home and the next day we went to a convention. she was a little sore, but made all the meetings just fine. I agree with staying away from dairy products (and beans) -- gas is a killer.... Hugs BD |
