Title: K+2 Post by stevegeebe on Aug 29th, 2007, 6:43am I could not help myself from going back into the archives to read the posts from this day two years ago. Y'all were something else and I want to thank you for the support. So many people helped us along the way. I will not forget the shelter provided in Port Gibson, the lady in a Memphis Wall-Mart who gave me a $20, the Church groups in Batesville that fed us, the lady at Lowe's that secretly stashed three gas cans for me in lay-a-way, and then called me on my cell to come get them and the phone calls and prayers from my Clusterhead family. Thanks again. Check out the archives if you get a chance and check out some of the stories on nola.com. I'm loosing the battle of trying to hold back the tears. Steve G |

Title: Re: K+2 Post by deltadarlin on Aug 29th, 2007, 8:40am I hear you Steve. Of course *I* wasn't hit up here, but I damn sure remember the aftermath. That is not something that I care to revisit~worrying about Jimbo when he was working hurricane relief, worrying about my friends who lived down there. Jimbo still hasn't told me *things* that happened down there and I don't believe he ever will (PTSD anyone?). Carolyn |

Title: Re: K+2 Post by BarbaraD on Aug 29th, 2007, 8:55am Steve, I remember how worried we were when we couldn't find you. Carol was about to go out of her mind looking for you and the relief when she found you in Memphis and knew you were ok. And when we caught up with Edna and the others and knew they were safe. It was a bad time all around. We are a close knit family no matter how often we fuss and fight. Now dry up those tears and have a cold one. We love you and are glad you're safe and sound. It's been a ruff two years for ya.... Hugs BD |
