The SpeedTrap Exchange is a site where visitors can post what they believe are speedtraps. The National Motorists Association cannot attest to the validity of these listings. They are individual postings from private individuals who believe a speed trap is in effect in these locations.

I esp. hate the one's that are hand held and the police point them at you with the billboard that flashes how fast your're going...and on a backstreet thats 35mph's when it should be fifty...

And yes, I can at times... ;)

Here in West Oz the official speed camera locations are shown on television every night just after the news; naturally the don’t show the un-official locations.

It has an effect in slowing people down but only in those areas posted.

Here in the US you have the right to confront your acusser in court, ive heard of folks beating the camera ticket because a camera cant testify in court......LOL ;;D

IL found a way to get around that. They have a police officer in the van operating the cameras, and use them in construction zones where the smallest fine is $375.00. Over 10 over and it doubles, and then again for each 5mph over the limit. The first day of use on I-80 over 380 tickets were generated per hour. that was some serious dough generated! Of course, the only reason for the cameras being there was for "safety"!

LMAO!.....do you really think one or even two cops can testify to 380 tickets in one hour? (Never mind an eight hour shift)

Thats even a bigger joke than the camera testifying.....LOL ;;D
