I was honored to meet Bob Kipple and his wife in Nashville in 2004 and I realized I was in the presence of an extraordinary man. His gentleness and kind spirit put me at ease and I sensed innately that he could be trusted with my life.

Within a short time of our meeting I also realized that he possessed
two very special attributes; A wealth of wisdom and the enthusiasm
to share that wisdom. He was an extremely generous man, never hesitating to share his experience and to help in any way. If he knew you were suffering or felt you needed a shoulder he would reach out to a fellow Cluster Head regardless of the time of day or night.

He was a simple and humble man that never demanded respect but through his example in word and deed he earned respect.

Bob Kipple saw the common thread which runs through all of us and treated every individual with respect and dignity.

As a man of good humor he exemplified kindness and mastered the power of a positive attitude. For me Bob Kipple represents not only a father figure but also an example of a humanitarian. For those of us suffering with CH he showed us how to be a compassionate leader in spite of our duress and pain.

In addition to showing us how to help one another he also gave us a means and a gauge for expressing our pain. The Kip scale is now used as a common scale for Ch sufferers and the medical community. It is used officially in Norway and throughout the US and Europe.

Bob Kipple's enthusiasm and kindness has touched so many of us. Those of us who had the good fortune of knowing him will never forget him.
His presence and influence still resonates after his death and his spirit continues to have a positive affect on CH sufferers and their supporters. It was truly an Honor to know Bob Kipple.

When presented the Bob Kipple award I was stunned and shocked beyond words. I must admit that I was moved to tears. Bob Kipple has come to represent so very much of what is good about humanity and his dedication towards helping those with CH is legendary.

To receive such an award with Bob Kipple's name on it humbles me and I am moved beyond words to have been bestowed such an honor.

And thanks to Tony that did help me to put the words together.I was scared to almost death to write this alone in case that i did use the wrong words .Its strange but even after all this years together with my family the languagebarriere still scares me a lot

If I hadn't seen the names in this post, I would have thought it might have referred to you as well, Sven.

That is a wonderful award. I was honored to meet Bob and his sweet wife Judy and hope that I may have the honor of meeting you and Bente someday soon also.

That was a great tribute to Kip and had he read it his face would be red and he'd be mumbling something (unprintable) under his breath right now. And Judy would be making some wisecrack. They were a wonderful couple.

Congrats Svenn. Kip would be proud to have his name on that award.

Well, Svenn, one thing Bob may have passed along to you is the ability to move someone to tears through your gentleness and kind spirit.

And now we are blessed to be in the presence of another extrordinary man.

Hmm, gentle, huge heart, soft spoken, self denigrating......always there to help someone in need.....
sounds to me like we're talking about you, Svenn!
I, too, had the great fortune to meet Bob and Judy. They were truly a wonderful pair of people, and losing them both so suddenly was a blow.
That, perhaps Svenn's tribute seems so familiar, could be that these men are pretty similar !
Congratulations Svenn, for an accolade well-deserved, but mostly, for being just who you are!

My dear friends

I have been thinking about this reward over and over again since someone told me about it,and i believe i owe some of you an explanation.

Some of you had gone so far as almost trying to avoid me so you could suprise me in Trondheim by give me that there WITHOUT me knowing about it in advance.

Over here i need to be in total 100% control over the symposium so i know every little part work as good as possibly.

To give me that reward without me knowing it in advance i would have been set back completely and totally.

Yess i have had really good hands to get the symposium as far as this.There is NO WAY i could have manage that without them,but let a thing like that happend without me knowing about it i just dont know what could have happend
Remember friends that i am nervous as it is without adding more to it

And dont get me wrong i really do love that prize and it will be on my "american wall"so everyone have to see it before entering the livingroom

Hope you all "that did try avoid me as good as you could" ;;D ;;D ;;D can at least understand this

My friend, as I told you on the phone, today, it would have been nice to surprise you, but I KNEW you would find out about it, in the two month period. So quit worrying about us being let down or upset that you found out. We were SURE that you would.

Now, STFU, and let Tony and I get back to planning all the mean, terrible, cruel, and disgusting things that we are going to do to you, when we get there.
