We're down to 45 days before my daughter's wedding, and the MOB (which would be me) is going flucking nuts!

I married off my oldest daughter 8 years ago, and we did it at a country club, who handled the food, the tables, the linens, the silverware, everything except the flowers, the DJ, photographer, and the minister.

This daughter is having her wedding at a community center (beautiful place, but still a community center). They provide nothing but the beautiful place. I not only have hired the DJ, photographer, minister and florist, but I've also had to hire the caterer, rent table linens, silverware, wedding cake baker, rental chairs, rental plant stands, and a multitude of little shit.

I'm going nuts! I know I will forget something really teensy tiny, that will be of utmost importance to the bride!

The wedding is in Southport, NC, and we have rented an ocean front beach house for the wedding weekend, which we will fill with us, Grandma, other daughter and son in law, and bride to be. Rehearsal dinner will be at the beach house Friday with about 35 people, all house guests will bail on Sunday.

Once everything is over and done, hubby and I are moving two blocks down the beach to an ocean front motel with balcony, for another two days, Just us'ns, and will are just going to plunk it, relax in the sand, drink heavily, and hopefully have some awesome sex ;;D

I don't think I could "do" a wedding, really, I applaud your effort. Hell, I could barely do my own, and Bob and I got married in the mountains, in blue jeans. The only people present were my kids, our sisters, the best man and maid of honor, and the minister. Oh, and the dog. The next day we had a few people over for take out food.
When mooshie gets married, I plan to pay for a wedding planner, and just show up. ;)
