Had to break down and go to the doc Monday. All this weather we've been having has produced a bad sinus infection which went into my inner ear and I can't walk straight (cheap drunk), so I'm down for the count. Bedrest (with a little time on the computer - one cannot stay in bed all the time!), no driving (that's a given) and not much walking without something to hold on to.

I'm MISERABLE!!! And not a very good sick person. I can't even turn over in bed without the room spinning.

Did anyone ever try having a CH and try getting to the O2 with vertigo? Oh, that's fun with everything spinning around. Hope these meds kick in soon.

Anyhow that's how my life is going.....

UGH. Take good care of yourself, Barb. Are you taking any decongestants? It may help to "dry up" all that fluid in your head.

Back in the 17XX the docs did prescribe 1 ONE glass of Cognac as a miraclecure for things like that ;;D ;;D

i've had 3 in the last few years.....they really ramped up the intensity of my ha's......feel better....i've put o2 along side my bed and sometimes can't get there quickly enough ........ i hope the rx clears you up soon ..wishing you pfd's and all types of balance.phil h

Oh Barb! sorry you are under the weather but I keep telling you...tequila and lime, tequila and lime is the only answer...if you feel dizzy you can tell if it si cause by the alcohol and will all be fun and you won't remember you are sick ;;D

Hope you get feeling better soon, Barb. My sis inlaw had this on her daughter's wedding day and was in the hospital. They offered to take her to the church by ambulance but she could not do it. She was so upset!

After she got better the rental company offered at no charge the gowns and tuxedos for they could take pics of the bridal party with her mom in the photos.

You will get better, it just takes time.

If you try them together, you'll be so busy throwing up that you won't care if you have vertigo!

Vertigo sucks, I've had it once in my life and I was utterly miserable (and mine wasn't near about as bad as yours, I could still drive). I'm with Kevin_M on this one, move that damned tank closer to your bed!

Vertigo sucks big time! I had to have a permanant tube put in my ear because of it.

Give the meds a couple of days and you'll probably feel some improvement.

OR

Dye your hair blonde and people wont give your dizziness and second glance. 8)

Vertigo is just plain nasty! Please take care of yourself and don't do anything silly - although the tequila doesn't sound like a bad idea!

Barb, I am so sorry you have vertigo.

my husband had vertigo onset Chistmas day 2006

Went to hospital in ambulance. they tried all kinds of meds and the LAST one they gave him was plain old MECLIZINE. Thank goodness it worked...well enough so he could stand and I could get him home and it helped better than anything else in the long run.

I don't know what they have given you to take, but i thought I'd share the info.

Aw, Barb, I'm sorry for the infection and all the other nasty garbage that came with it.

Hope you are on a heavy antibiotic that will knock the sucker out.

But, I'm with Rosy - tequila and lime. It's a natural antibiotic, or so I've been told ;;D

I don;t know if it is an antibiotic but it sures help to make me forget I am sick and makes me want to sing and dance around...UHUUUUU!! PARTY TIME!!!
