the beast is in his cage
he has been there for a while
every now and then i feel him there
lurking in the shadows
biding his time
gnawing away at his bars
till one day he will be free
i have to stay strong
all the while building him a new cage
to beat him back to
when he begins to let me be
then he will sit there again
waiting for his moment to escape again
determined he is....... but not as determined as me.

that was heart /head felt . wonderful writing............there really does seem to be an abundance of incredibally talented ,artistic and expressive people here. poets ,writers , journalists,musicians, painters , sculpters and more . thank you...thank you all ...thanking all of you that make me laugh and lighten up. phil h
