hole!  Second time in 3 years that I was sitting on the patio and having 1 beer ;) and I hear this buzzing and crackling. I look up at his pine tree, and lo and behold the damn thing is smoking and has a little flame going on up top because its touching the wires. So I had to call the FD because the idiot wasn't home.

The last time this happened they told him to cut the tree down but he didn't. Mind you, this guy has plenty of money to have it done or plenty of tools to do it himself. The last time he said to me "Hopefully next time the power company will cut it down and I won't have to pay for it.

I hope the Goddamn thing bursts into flames and falls on his garage where he keeps all of his tools that he never uses >:(  

The Power company is on the way, I'll let you know what happens.

I work for an electrical company and I have seen films of what can happen when this shit arc flashes and destroys everything in its path, and my home would be first in line. Maybe I should just bitchslap the not a very nice person!

Get your chainsaw out and cut the damned thing down -aiming it, of course, towards his house!  Then put on your most innocent face and claim to know nothing!

Get a copy of the fire Dept. report and take it to the town hall and file a complaint. Get a report from what ever town or city agency that ordered him to take it down and bring that to.

I think the city can make him cut the tree because it is a hazard. The city made my neighboor across the street to cut down a half broken silver maple because it was about to break and fall into the power lines.

He was complaining about it  because it would cost him about $200 tu have it cut but He did not want to pay the fine that could be from $800 up to whatever the cost would be to repair the power lines.

So, the tree is cut.

Why don't you ask the electric company if they can do something about it..maybe a little  phone call to the city  8)...

in the mean time throw some frogs into his yard  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Drive a couple of copper nails into it that will kill the tree and he will have to chop it down. ;;D

The electric company showed up. They did have the record of them telling him to have it cut down because it was a hazard. Evidently he had 1 year to get it done, it has been more than that. They said they will bill him $600 tomorrow after they have it cut down! LMMFAO!  

I can't wait till this asspipe gets home from vacation and finds the bill in his mailbox!

I have to show this thread to Timo! He hates some of the trees on our neighbours' side (they block the view to the lake... ;;D). A thread like this will make his day... ;;D

Know what you mean Jim.

Two trees on my neighbors land found their way through our house after the Storm. It was not his fault. I'm okay with that.

But he never lifted a finger to help. He eventually had FEMA remove the damaged trees from his land and elected not to have the 20' stumps taken down adjacent to our property line. One day I will have to cut them down because, should they fall, they may damage our once damaged pump tank.

I asked him the other day if he wanted to go-in half on taking out the remaining Pines that may find their way into either one of our houses, in the event of another storm, and his reply was, "what are you,...a morphodite"? I walked away shaking my head, astounded, at the sublime ignorance.

The guy, unfortunately, has reproduced and his good for nothing Son lives down the street.

I can only find solace in your result. Good for you.

The tree is down, the bill was in his mailbox when he got back home today, and nothing but dirty looks towards me! In the immortal words of jonny "Sucks to be him!"
