Title: Raining Cats and Frogs??!
Post by LeLimey on Jul 29th, 2007, 9:24pm

I have a repulsive next door neighbour - I'd sooner live next door to Chewy! (Umm.. then again...  maybe not! )

Anyway she recently put two big pickle jars of tadpoles into her excuse for a pond. The bloody thing is about 3ft long by 2 ft wide  ::) Needless to say everything grows older and we now literally have a plague of frogs ( kitler is busy dealing with that probem and if he gets much fatter we'll be having fatcat for Christmas dinner!)

One landed in our garden and either the cat was too full or it was sleeping off his lunch and Jasper saw it, got really excited and shouted "Look mummy it's a fwog!"

With that Kirsty the Swamp Monster shouted in a really agressive voice from her garden "Give me back my frucking fog!" (Well it was something like that!) There is a six foot fence between us so Jasper couldn't see her and this disembodied voice shocked the bejaysus out of him. His eyes nearly popped out of his head and he did no more than grab the frog by one leg and lob it straight over the fence!

I couldn't see straight I was laughing so much - he isn't a cruel kid and if he'd done that without having been so frightened I'd have discombobulated him but now I just can't get the image of that damn frog flying through the air with all its legs outstretched and imagining her face when she got slapped in the kisser by a frog!

I'll bet that left some handsome prints (SP?!) eh?!  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Aren't neighborers great? Good thing we have kids to annoy them. Give that boy a prize!

Maybe kissing the frog will turn her into something else?

I say "throw the frog again".

Shhhh....(I am now hiding from P.E.T.A.)

Poor Jasper - probably thought it was the voice of the great beyond . . . .or worse yet, Voldemort!!

I give the little sprout credit for winging it back to her.  I would have asked for full identifying marks and a DNA sample to make sure it was hers.

We have to compare neighbor stories sometime.

If it wasn't for the fact frogs are living creatures I'd give him carte blanche to lob everyone he sees over the wall but only when he could hear her in the garden! ;;D

Pat I truly hope you don't have a neighbour like this one - she is the sickest most twisted person I've ever had the misfortune to meet and I've met some real lu-lu's.

Fun stuff Helen.

Don't tell Jasper but in my youth...way back before global warming, every biology class in New York State disected frogs as a matter of course. Thirty kids in the class, thirty dead frogs. It was a real holocost.

Today, you'd do time if you tried that.

Helen,

I can imagine poor Jasper's face... [smiley=hug.gif]

BTW, we showed our UK trip pics to Timo's sister, her husband and their son (he's 14 months old) and they just adored Kitler! ;;D

Mum will have new neighbours later this year and she's wondering if they'll be better or worse that the bad neighbours who are about to move out...

And Timo & I were worried in some point, because we don't know our neighbours. BUT then we understood that since we moved to this building in March, about 6 different appartments have changed owners since, so if this moving rate goes on by the end of the year we have lived here the longest! :-X

I think Jasper's new name is "Frog Boy", "Froggy" for short. ;;D  I enjoy that visual every time you remind me of the incident.

I guess I can no longer deny it: I am, indeed, a sick, twisted lu-lu.

This has been very liberating. Thank you, Chuck! ;)

Cool. A wrist rocket. I had forgotten about those. Did some major property damage with one of those in my youth. Can't imagine what it'd do to frog. ;;D
