Title: Senators probe prosecution of imprisoned Border Pa
Post by Jonny on Jul 27th, 2007, 9:59pm
"Chairing the Senate judiciary committee hearing, Feinstein questioned the decision to charge the agents under 18 United States Code section 924(c)(1)(a), which requires the harsh sentence for using or carrying a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence."

Sutton, of the Western District of Texas, said he did not make the decision to charge the agents under 924(c), and would not answer directly when asked whether or not he thought it was a good choice.

I read that story when it came out last year.  It sure stuck out as unreal.

U.S. agents went into Mexico to find the drug dealer and bring him back to testify.

Does that mean we are paying to put the people that are suppose to protect us into jail?

Edit to add:.......thats just a question, bro, nothing more!

Not only that...

Aldrete-Davila has filed a $5 million lawsuit against the U.S. government, claiming that his civil rights were violated.

Ok, I've got it -- we hire people to do a job and they do it -- then we give the crook immunity to testify that they did their job so we can put them in jail for doing it. Sound about right so far? [smiley=huh.gif]

But on the other hand we convict another high up muckity muck for NOT doing his job and he gets sentenced to jail and Duba PARDONS him cause he's a nice guy.

Ok, here's what I think we should do. The AMERICAN people NEED a project to show Congress we're unhappy with the STATUS QUO.  SOOOOO... we get on a letter writting, phone calling, fax sending - e-mailing campaign to Congress to campaign Duba to PARDON these guys cause they really ONLY did their job.

We need to take it to the media and let them run with it. (It'd be better than Paris).

And as far as the lawsuit goes from the crook - it should be communed into a 50 year prison sentence.

Hugs BD
