Title: Re: This ought to make your day-NOT Post by echo on Jul 23rd, 2007, 1:56pm Nothing less than a HEAPING PILE OF BULLSHIT. Our court system is so jacked up from time to time. I'm speaking bald at any court appearance I'm in. |

Title: Re: This ought to make your day-NOT Post by Sandy_C on Jul 23rd, 2007, 2:51pm Going on soapbox now! Our judicial system is a crock! Our jails are overcrowded with misdemeanor charges, while the felony charged await trials, in the comfort of their homes. My local community is discussing whether to institute a program of "house arrest", wearing the ankle bracelet and being monitored 24/7, for misdemeanor charges, and some felony charges that did not constitute assault. Yet, the majority of our local elected officials are saying no to house arrest for non-violent offenses. They say it is too expensive. Yet, incarcerating someone in jail is much more expensive than house arrest. I don't understand my local official's decisions. Because of overcrowding, many criminals are just being "let go". Maybe probation, maybe not. And, the bottom line is because of overcrowding, too many VIOLENT offenders are still on our streets because of rulings like those of Ms. Judge Savage. She has allowed a child molester (violent criminal) to walk the streets, free to do his dirty deed on another child. Hopefully, Judge Savage has no children, or maybe I should say "obviously Judge Savage has no children". Off soapbox now. Sandy |
