The sun is shining outside and I'm off to my family's summer cottage in few hours' time. :)

Mum will drive from Helsinki to Jyväskylä (that's about 300kms) to pick me up and then we'll drive to Viitasaari together. :)

I haven't had the time to visit our summer cottage that much this summer. I have been there only once - for less than 2 days, so I'm kinda excited to go. ;;D I hate to leave Timo & the littleones behind, but this time I have to.

So, I'll be washing carpets, taking walks in the forest, admiring a beautiful lake, maybe fishing a bit and I plan to pick some blueberries, too. :)

Have a great weekend, everybody! :)
I hope and pray that it will be a PF one to as many of us as possible. I'm packing 6 energy drinks with me to be sure.

Been spending time away at my place up in the woods this month too, Sanna. Splenderously peaceful and sane.

Thank you guys! :)

I had brilliant time. The sun was shining most of the time (it was clowdy only when I was washing the carpets).

I saw some unidentified birds, one mad squirrel, looked at the lake for hours... and picked 10.8 litres of blueberries! ;;D It's the best blueberry year ever at my neck of the woods (but let's not tell that to our summer cottage neighbours... ;))

This time I didn't take my digital camera with me, so no pics available, sorry.

But besides the relaxment.. the trip was worth its while. When I got back home, the littleones were so excited about the clean, fresh grass I brought them that they nearly escaped their cage! And Timo had cleaned the house and washed all the dishes. :) I think I'll be taking more of these mini vacations... ;;D

That lake is absolutely amazing... Our cottage is located in very peaceful part of it, so usually the noice I hear from the lake is the birds. :) It's my haven.

If it's like the Scandinavian camps I see in photos, I know you'll have a great time.

We had a neat camp out in the middle of nowhere when I was a tyke....no lake though...but it was great. Miss it a lot.

We had to initiate an bug holocost before it was livable.
