All those tanks were the first thing I thought of when I read The Warden's post. Secure O2 during transport folks.....at the very least tanks will become projectiles in a accident, at the very worst......well I don't want to even think about that.

OMG!

Steph, thanks so much for letting us know.  I had seen the pic of Chuck's truck loaded with the 02 tanks, and when you said he had been hit, I immediately thought the worst.

I met Chuck in person last year at the Milwaukee convention, and I immediately loved him.  He is almost my neighbor, I live near Greensboro, NC.  I was so sad that after registering and booking my hotel room in Richmond, that the "powers that be" dictated that I couldn't get out of work, so I had to bail, and I didn't get to see my Chuckie-poo (kilt and all).

Give Chuck a big, but gentle, hug from me and tell him that I'm here, in NC, and if he needs anything, let me know.

Sandy

Update on Chuck.

I just got off the phone with him and he and his brother-in-law are en-route to Carol's home where he will spend a few days recuperating. He did fracture a vertebrae in his neck and the doctor's want to take a wait and see approach... of course Light-duty is mandatory.

His general disposition is (well... you know Chuck) sunny and upbeat.

Knowing Chuck... he'll be online as soon as he can to touch base.

with warm regards,
Tony

Take care of that neck Chuckie...those type of injuries are the worst ones because they never heal all that well if you don't rest as you should...
I had a little accident when i was in a taxi and the only thing I hurt was my neck, I wore that ugly thing around my neck for two months and everytime the weather changes it hurts!!

follow Doc's orders and you will be fine  :)

BTW, you guardian angel did a hell of a good job making possible of you to get out walking  of that jeep like you did... God is truly merciful with  good people!

Geeze, people, it is just a lil "rough me up" ...  There ain't nuttin here to be worried about!  But thanks fer all the well wishes.  It DOES mean a lot!

I tell ya what, if I hear another "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your chest/neck/back pain?"  It FUCKEN hurts,  Damnit!  Nothing like a cluster, but DAMN it hurts!  Now leave me the hell alone!  I even broke down and took some pain meds this morning.  I been fighting taking them, but caved in this morning.

No one will let me drive, or work, or go home ...  I wanna get back to "normal" ... or at least as normal as I can ever be ...

This SUCKS!! LOL ...

Sorry, I guess I got on a pity party there for a minute ...

Back to normal programming ...

Jonny, fuck you ...

Svenn, STFU

Chuck, Darlin....I have a question...

Did the hospital release you or did they THROW you out... ::)

Serious now....So glad you're OK.  How about you just take it easy for a few days?

Gentle Hug...
Jackie

HEYYYYYYYYY! I didn't say a WORD ............
YET!

Here goes.....
Chuck, you putz, I can hear it now, in that drawl of yours...

" why, AHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM FAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNE!".......when you are trying to get your way, you can stretch a word out longer than Beeyul has ever done!
Oh, and Boy, that's a terrible way to treat a Jeep! You lose the Miata by default, and tell Carole you're sorry!

Finally, sheesh, man, I am glad you've got this crazy lil angel on your shoulder. You're safe, and that's good! I'll toy with you another day, my pretty!

Bite ME! :P

Rest up the many bangs and bruises, hoping you feel better soon.  Sorry to hear, Chuck.  It'll be awhile before you can shake your head 'no' to anything, recoup neckid in nectarine juice.  :)

Glad to see you didn't break your funny bone, you old Fart!
Just quit your bitchin and follow orders for once!

And you leave the Warden alone.  She knows how much we care about you and she did the right thing by spilling the beans.

And, BTW, you sure know how to mess up a fine looking Jeep.

Gentle hugs,

Sandy
