I went away on vacation to Stone Harbor, NJ and then to Cleveland for a wedding, and I didn't have real internet access there. Been missing everyone here and trying to read and catch up on posts!! I really missed going to convention again this year, but my childhood best friend's wedding in Cleveland was the same weekend!! I'll have to post some recent pics of all I've been up to lately - I haven't been posting much here in quite some time, and I feel bad about that!! Thanks again for the concern!! :) Next time, I'll be sure to check in a little more often!! |

I even have parasailing pics as I went parasailing for the first time ever this year when I was in Florida!!! (Donna H - I'm soooooo sorry I didn't call you when I was in Florida to have lunch... my trip was really busy this year as my cousin and his wife just had their first baby and my grandparents and I were doing a LOT this time...but I feel bad we missed each other again!!) While I was away, apparently my apartment manager and the mainenance guy noticed this bad smell coming from a 1st floor apartment - I am one of 3 apts on the 1st floor of my particular building... So she called, but I didn't get the message until I got home late Sunday night, and all it said was ,"We're concerned about something - call us back." So I called and left a message late that night in case she still needed something. She called back and left me another message the next day telling me about the smell and saying she'd had to enter my apartment. I didn't think anything of it, until I told my mom later. My mom said, "Wow! Maybe she thought you'd died!!" Holy geez...!! I didn't think of that, but how depressing!! She would probably have had to have thought that nobody would miss me if I died until I rotted in my apartment and the smell was so bad that she went in and checked it out. Seriously!! My um...er... boyfriend (not sure I should call him that yet - but, guy I've been dating for a couple months and talking to every night!!) said he would notice. And apparently you guys would, too!! And I'm pretty sure my mom would....seeing as we talk on the phone like 5 times a day. Seriously though, I'm joking about this - I mean, I did get creeped out when my mom said the whole "maybe she thought you'd died" thing, but I don't really walk around saying stuff like, "Nobody would miss me..." It was just oddly bizarre!! I've never had anything like that happen before!! So now I know for the next time I disappear: notify Jonny and Carol....and aparentment manager!! haha Hugz, Carrie :) |
