Temps in the high 90s here with heat index of 105 today and tomorrow. It's like an oven outside. This weather is nothing to laugh at....John and I found a young guy yesterday who passed out on the sidewalk from heat stroke. Paramedics said that he would have been dead in 10 more minutes if he had not been helped. Sad thing is that by the time we made it across the street to help him, we saw three people walk right by him without helping....sheesh! |

They are probably wondering why the end of her funny broom is scorched and smells of jet fuel. Post by LeLimey on Jul 10th, 2007, 9:01am I'll give you 37 million guesses as to who was whining his face off about the "heat" and who just got on with it!! ;;D After having the arse frozen off me on two flights I was ready for a little global warming I can tell you! Well I'm here safe and sound, I had a fantastic journey and was spoilt rotten by all the immigration and customs people - they really couldn't do enough to help and were charming - I thought I was in a parallel universe LOL Apart from the second flight being delayed it was really a nice journey apart from the sudden and almost fatal onset of numb-bum-itis - I may never have feeling in my derriere again! I hate sitting down so long and I can really feel it today. Jonny - thank you for looking after me :-* Oh and Paul - the reason women don't travel light is we don't subscribe to the four day rule like you - you know - like you told me! outside, inside, back to front and the right way round and socks are good until you throw them at the ceiling and they stick or you have to shoot them for desertion - or wasn't I supposed to tell everyone that?! :P Dape - I know you miss me you little shit and since its the holidays when I get back we need to arrange a couple of days together with the kids etc! How about a trip to Nene Valley railway one of the days? Be good everyone - just like what I am ::) Helen xxx |
