Title: This place has energy....UPDATED Post by catlind on Jul 7th, 2007, 3:22pm I am not yet willing to disclose that which gives me this conclusion. Past experiences and present have promted this post. The energy that travels the distances based on love, support, hope and a connection beyond words has the ability to create and manifest unimaginable results. For now, forgive me for my cryptic statement, but in the next week or so I will let you know more. I thank you all for allowing me the luxury of your positive energy, light and love that has allowed me to turn my focus from my own micro cosmos and send forth that which isneeded by others. It is only through the strength of those that have sent it to me that I have been able to pass it to those who are also in need and know that my own needs have been well protected. I thank you all, and may you all come one day, to realize the powers that reside in the hope, support and love eternal that this group of people hold. Adversity is always a mere blink away, and yet we all find that we can overcome. My gratitude is far reaching and will be paid forward 10 fold. Thank you all, and know I love you each in turn with the levels I cannot begin to explain. Humbly, Cat Many of you may remember the tribulations and adversity that my family endured over the last several months. My eldest son, a young man with a heart of gold and a soul of light beyond belief, was arrested and taken out of children's hospital in handcuffs....the charge - uttering terroristic threats and resisting arrest - both such bogus charges we were dumbfounded. Alex is a good kid, never once had trouble with the law, is an honor student and qualified for the international baccalaureate program. They tried to detain him until arraignment, almost a week, and he was having seizures. They allowed him to go home with us. At the arraignment, HHS had child protective services issue an order to try take temporary custody of him until the trial. We went to pre-trial, and the prosecutor convinced the judge to NOT allow us in the court room. The final charges were laid, terroristic threats and resisting arrest. He didn't even know the police had been called for pete's sake. Trial was set for friday July 13th at 10:00 which is why I could not go convention. At approximately 11 a.m. Thurs July 12th, the lawyer called us, all charges were dismissed and his record expunged as signed by the judge. It is thanks to all of you here, that sent me the energy and strength I needed to keep going forward through this adversity, while in the midst my 13 y/o had a mental breakdown as well. I;m not normally good at patience - Those lit candles, prayers and vibes all have been answered and my son is safe with me again, and no one can take him away. Without knowing it, each and everyone of you that participated even in the smallest way, saved not just Alex, but saved MY life as well, as I surely would have perished at his loss. I cannot repay you each, so I will pay it forward and ensure no parent has to endure this hell again as long as I draw breath. Cat |

Title: Re: This place has energy.... Post by LeLimey on Jul 7th, 2007, 3:32pm I trust the power of Clusterville more than any doctor in the world - and I have bloody fantastic doctors so that's no mean feat. There IS a magic here, a power, a - I can only call it a force for good and there aren't many of us who haven't felt the benefit. I know I have had more than my share of good from here this year and I'm convinced it is what has me here today. As you have said Cat all we can do is pay it forward - which I will continue to do every day I draw breath. With honour, gratitude and love. Having Cluster Headaches has changed my life for the better - I may have considered it a curse at forst but now I can see it's been the biggest "blessing" I could have. I love being a part of this family! |

Title: Re: This place has energy....UPDATED Post by Maffumatt on Jul 13th, 2007, 3:46pm I'm happy it worked out for you Cat. I'll relay my experience for you. Brandon at age 11 bought a toy 99 cent pistol at the Dollar General Store here in town. It shot those little yellow pellets around 15 to 20 feet. He shot a kid with it in the face. The police arrested him and charged him with aggravated assault with bodily injury since it left a red mark. He has always been a little hard to handle so I thought it would give him a scare. He was found guilty and given a years probation. He failed a class at school ( he has severe ADD ), which was a probation violation. Resulting in another year added to his probation. Towards the end of this year he got into a fight at school, with the zero tolerance policy the school has he was arrested even though he didn't start the fight. This was a probation violation. The judge took him out of the home and sent him to a juvenile detention center in Gerard KS, for a month and sentenced him to a 90 days at a juvenile camp at a place called Kings Camp west of Wichita. To top it off we have to pay $400 a month in child support while he is in the states custody. I have zero respect for the DA in this town, and have lost most of my respect for the local law enforcement here too. |

Title: Re: This place has energy....UPDATED Post by catlind on Jul 13th, 2007, 4:58pm What saddens me Matt is that your case and mine are truer than any others. There are kids being shot in north Omaha, and IF the police catch them, they get a slap on the wrist. My kid ends up depressed and suicidal because of a seizure disorder and out of fear of him harming himself we called the police to have him brought to the hospital. Little did we know that we were about to launch him into a potentially life destroying series of events. What the hell ever happened to each case on it's own merit?? We have been very fortunate indeed, and had a terrific lawyer, one of the best juvenile lawyers around and every Dr. that has ever laid eyes on Alex sent an affidavit in his defense. They never did interview his biological father - the whole cause of the mess - he got in a fight with his bio dad and threatened to kill him - next thing he was charged with uttering terroristic threats. Oh yeah, forgot to mention his bio dad tried to forcibly and physically restrain him and hit him. so what happens, we throw our youth to the wolves. What bullshit. Matt I will send all my energy to you and your family taht this nih=ghtmare ends and with a positive result.' Cat |

Title: Re: This place has energy....UPDATED Post by Rosybabe on Jul 13th, 2007, 6:47pm a friend of mine had to pay $500 fine because he allegedly assaulted a minor...here is how everything happened... He was mowing his lawn when his wife call him to come inside to eat lunch, he put the lawn mower inside the garage but because he planned to come back outside to finish he did not close the garage door, he went inside and him and his family where having lunch when they heard a loud noise coming from the garage. He went to check and he found a teenage boy pulling his son bicycle out of the hanger on the wall (he had tried to pull a bigger bicycle but he couldn't so that was the noise he made when the other tools hanging from the wall fell off). My friend confronted him and started pulling the Bicycle out of the kid's hands (he wouldn't let go off it!) and he felt on his back and hit his head in the ground, got up and run!. He put the bike back in the wall, picked up all the stuff that came down from the wall, closed the garage and went back inside with the rest of the family, when a police's car came by and knocked the door. There they were! The police officer, the boy and the boy's mother! She had called police and told them that my friend attacked his son and hurt him. My friend told the police what happened and the officer asked him if he got any witnesses and he said , "yes my family" and the officer said that those were not reliable witnesses and they took him in custody. long story short, he had to paid a fine to get out of jail. If he had shot the kind in his garage, the story would have a different ending. He would not be charge because the boy was traspassing but this was not what happened. what is justice then??? these teens are doing whatever they please to do and nobody stops them. My van's back window had be shot 6 times, yes, 6 times!!!! and I bet it have been the same group of teens who find it really funny. Police said they could not do anything about it because we did not have proof of them doing it, we have to caught them in the act and have witnesses. I am really thinking about moving.... |
