This is the FIRST morning this week it hasn't been raining..... maybe maybe......

I've been closed up in this house with a 5 year old all week and we're going stir crazy. Everything feels wet and we're miserable...... Yesterday we did escape for a little while and go to McDonalds - it was OUT of the house!

We've baked cookies, cooked meals (Caleb's getting to be quite the chef), played games, wated PS Sprout till I'm sick of it and anything else we can think of to do. We run outside for a few minutes in-between rain storms and he plays in the mud (fun fun) and then I wash him off with a water hose and he spends an hour in the bathtub on the part I miss.

I think my animals are growing fins.

I'M READY FOR SUN!!!!!!

Hope everyone else is a lot saner than I am right now.

Barb I know what you mean - its rained since May here and I'm sick to the eyeballs of scrubbing rust off myself!

Its sunny here today too - so far - long may it last! I'm SO ready for some sunshine!

Here's hoping you and Caleb have a fantabulous day - OUTSIDE!!! ;;D

Is it possible that it's been raining globally lately? It sure has been rainy back in here, too... :-/

I don't mind the rain when it comes at night or I have no errans to run. The thunder part I dislike. But I'm looking at the bright side: the gardens everywhere look amazing this minute! :)

In my family, during summer vacation, a rainy day meant playing cards and baking yummy sweet buns! :) Once though we had to wait for bit too long before putting those buns to oven because of a surprising thunder storm... They turned out just delicious anyway.

Hey, Barb, I know where your rain went. It came HERE! We're not flooding yet, but we're damned sure getting water logged (think that's webbing growing between my toes). I emptied the water gauge on Thursday morning. I checked it Friday morning and it had rained 3 inches. Checked it when I got home Friday afternoon, and in a period of 8 hours, it had rained another 3.5 inches. I dumped the gauge and haven't checked it since. It's raining now and has been all morning.

Anyone for a chorus of *row, row your boat*?

it will be hit and miss for Houston also...I will take my little girl to the IMAX, she is tired of being at home all week.

Charlie I'll be in your direction on Monday - d'ya think you could hold off on rain dances until I've seen what the sun looks like just ONCE please?! ;)
