But she was your mother.  Nothing will ever change that.  And I know you loved her dearly.  Just know, that she is finally out of pain and suffering.

Why the hell didn't you call me, and let me know what you were going through?  I would have been there for you!  And I would also have harassed the snot out of you!  Or I could have just been a shoulder to cry on.

I am so sorry Cathi, hun.  I had no idea!  I wish I could say more.  The loss of a mother is so hard.  Nothing said makes it easier.  I had lots of wonderful poems and sayings (all so true) sent and given to me when my mother passed but at the time I didn't want to hear them.  So just know we are here.  And if you need to talk or vent or cry let me know.  I am so sorry for you and your family's loss Cathi!

I feel I owe you all an apology. I have been watching Mom go downhill for 3 yrs now. Sometimes, I felt like the kid who cried "WOLF".........I withdrew from this group, and tried to deal on my own. I was busy helping her, so my time was limited at best, but, I should have said something.
Mom died because her body just couldn't repair itself any longer. 6 surgeries in 2 years was more than she could take. My daughter explained to me, Mom's spirit was far too big for that frail, tiny body.
Anyway, for all that remember me, give me time to heal and I will be back, wind in my sails and all.......

Cathi, I too am so very sorry to be so late in offering my condolences to you and yours.

Please take it slow and focus on the good memories. I was going to start a thread today for everyone to please keep a special thought for all of us that have experienced personal loss lately and decided not to.

This thread popping back up has prompted me to ask for all to send vibes to our family members that have had or are nearing this kind of life changing event.

It has been almost 2 months since Lin's Mom passed and we are still trying to adjust.

So please lean when you need and cry when you can, but don't forget to dig up a smile and a laugh to celebrate the life that was.
