Can you please put our Aunt Helen in your vibes and prayers. She is undergoing radiation and chemo, after an unsuccesful surgery on her thyroid/throat. We just lost an Uncle just a few short months ago to Cancer. Grandpa died due to cancer. I had cancer (and have never had a recurrance thank god or knock wood or what have you) Seems we recover from one death or scare or blow and another loved one is suffering....

I don't normally ask for vibes in this kinda way, cause this isn't my immediate family or cluster related. But we have just had too much losses. Aunt Helen is one tough Cookie she HAS to kick this cancer's ass but they can't even find ALL of the cancer!!! GRRRRR So I need my cluster fam to pray and vibe and do what they do best and well maybe just maybe if fate has some plans that I don't want to hear about ..... well maybe we can turn them around? Silly but hell who the frig knows how things work in the grand scheme???

***Update***
Aunt Helen had a feeding tube inserted yesterday. This was something she has been dreading. She couldn't eat, and we were expecting this. Also she is now deaf on one side, the side they origionally found the tumor and operated on her neck. More than likely from the tumor growing. I don't know any more details except that her morale is very low. But well so wouldn't anyone's. :'(

CANCER SUCKS!!!!!!! >:(!! There is no two ways about it. I have it and it can make a person miserable if he or she lets it. I will have a good thought for Aunt Helen but please tell her to keep a good attitude. I believe that it is half the battle. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

VIbes to you honey. I've lost so many in my family to cancer, I think we have our own lounge at M D Anderson. I too HATE cancer.

It's really hard to watch someone we love go thru that, but hang tuff... that's the best we can do for them.

my family and my best supporter's family have been hit of our share of cancer deaths. You can be sure that lots of vibes and prayers are coming from Finland!

Thanks everybody. Not that it isn't a blow to have anyone in the fam get struck with an illness like this. But Aunt Helen has been everyone's rock when Uncle Dan was dying with cancer. She is well the strong one of Sam's side of the family period! (I wear that heavy hat on my side) so I know how hard a blow this is for all of them. To see the "strong" one weakened by an illness. Everyone feels so helpless.

Thanks for hearing me, thanks for the prayers and vibes. It's just so unfair. But so is life! Damn, damn, damn!

I had an aunt Helen too that left us too soon because of cancer and of course she fought all the way. She was tough.
