Title: Character building Post by Buzz on Jun 22nd, 2007, 3:19pm As a photographer and the father off the bassist, I recently had the dubious pleasure of shooting my son's Death Metal band (www.myspace.com/viatrophy) whilst 'enjoying' the full impact of a Kip8. It wasn't so much the sound (20kw sound system) but the lights that made it really 'interesting'. Oh and being accidentally punched in the head by one of the kids moshing. Still, I got great shots and have asked the band to title one of their songs "Cluster Headache" (the lyrics don't matter - no one can make head or tail of them anyway. ;;D ) Most of all though, the experience was character building. If you can live through that, you can live through anything!!! :D |

Title: Re: Character building Post by Buzz on Jun 23rd, 2007, 1:20am I think the band have all been renaming themselves! Brewcrew, he is a phenomenal jazz player (loves/can play almost as good as Victor Wooten) and also excellent with various funk styles. And he has a bass clef tattooed on his arm. Plays ESP 4 string and a 6 string also has an Ibanez 6 string and a Fender P bass. I am desperately envious of his talent. I play guitar but strictly G-C-D stuff. Hell, I'd be prepared to give up these fine headaches just to play like him!!! [smiley=jammin.gif] |
